Have you ever ordered hobby or household items and then spend the whole time while it is enroute thinking "well, I think it will fit there...will it?"? And did they fit where initially planned, or did plans have to change? Are we limiting ourselves to just this week? 😉 At this point, even the Kimera pure pigment box requires moving a bunch of stuff to get to. I'd like to have it open, but no space. I think the biggest hobby related version of this problem was the Hellscape kickstarter by DF. Good/bad timing: I got an unexpected bonus right around the time the kickstarter was closing...

I don’t know if this story was early days. It involved Outlook, MS Outlook. Running under WindowsNT (?) The story begins with some fool of a jackanape programmer at Microsoft thinking, “how great would it be if Outlook could have Macros?” The next thing you know some ratfink(s) began writing macro-viruses. So, one fine afternoon one of these got loose in the cube farms and what it did was automatically open each persons contact list, and then promptly send itself to everyone on the contacts list, and then onward from those contact lists… I got about twenty emails with the same subject line. As did the whole company just about. Then the Mail Servers had a meltdown. Nobody received any spurious emails from me, however. I had never set up a Contacts List. Every copy I got of the virus crashed. So my outgoing Sent folder was clean. When I contacted the IT department by phone to talk clean up procedures I called Outlook “The Microsoft Macro Virus Propagation Environment software that was cleverly disguised as an email client”. He thought I’d made a funny and vowed to use it. Edited May 20 by TGP Rest of the story

Have you ever ordered hobby or household items and then spend the whole time while it is enroute thinking "well, I think it will fit there...will it?"? And did they fit where initially planned, or did plans have to change? Nope, then again I generally don't buy large things that need to have a plan in place before using. Thou, I've been close as if I ever purchased a Phrozen Mighty machine I will have to put a plan in place as to where I'm going to put all of my active printers at. That requires me to move my traditional printer out of a corner & put the CR 6 in it's place & in turn that'll require me to actually assemble a computer desk I bought in June of 2019 (20). I had some grand plan of moving things around & giving myself more room in the process, but alas I see how far that has gotten me. Probably a good thing I don't order large items!!!

I usually have a very good idea of where things will go; measure twice, buy once. 10
ejala
I buy boxes to store the hobby stuff and then have to do some tetris to store the boxes... Have a five drawer cart I think will fit in a space. Or that I can make it fit. I just haven't moved it there yet. Only been since last October.

What's your favorite thing to do on a rainy weekend day when you don't have any plans? Right now? Wish we had a porch so I could enjoy such a view? When there's a covered porch or whatnot to enjoy the view? Probably just kick back and relax, work on some hobbies, or read a book while enjoying the scents and sounds of rainfall. Spring rain smells lovely... Usually.
