ejala
Well it's not set up the second day of a yardsale and try staying dry whilst Hocking wares to the nutters out in that weather. Still probably made a fifth of the day's 125$ take in the rain. But that was Saturday morning. I'm not much for the outdoors; either phobic or allergic to too much stuff. So on rainy days I do much the same as other weather. Stay in, read, hobby, cook, housework, sleep, etc.

Nope. I avoid that button like the plague, and multi-person conversations in general. If I do have to send a reply all, I always verify who I want to send it to. Have you ever ordered hobby or household items and then spend the whole time while it is enroute thinking "well, I think it will fit there...will it?"? And did they fit where initially planned, or did plans have to change? Not so much that, more of "where am I going to put it?" This was the case when I ordered my FDM 3D printer last year. I had a few options of where I could put it, but I moved back in with my parents several years ago for mutual benefits. They aren't of a generation to appreciate advanced technology, and one fears fire hazards and things that generate fumes/smells very much. So explaining that I had something with a heating element that I might need to leave unattended for several hours, and that might generate an odor in the air (albeit a fairly sweet odor) did not go over very well... especially now that mice are periodically getting into the basement where I would like to set it up, and that is the most unattended area in the house. We did have a deal that once the basement was cleaned up that it could go in there, but injuries first to my shoulder and now my back prevented me from doing that during winter and spring... and now with warm weather, I need to focus on house-upkeep. Result: the printer still hasn't been set up, the location I want to put it is too cluttered right now with stuff , and I'm not risking mice running all over it even when it isn't in use. (I intend to get a cover for it, but I need to actually set it up and measure to get the right size). Plus I'm also wanting a resin printer now, which is yet another issue due to the odor. One battle at a time, right? 11 hours ago, Jasper_the_2nd said: Question. Sunday May 21st. Well it has been pouring out since before I got up this morning. What's your favorite thing to do on a rainy weekend day when you don't have any plans? Sleep in, especially if it is raining hard enough to hear hitting the roof. If there's thunder even better, I love sleeping to the sounds of a storm. Otherwise I'm up and spending the time with my Labradors, treats hugs and being a human pillow. I don't hobby near them, I worry about demolding/filing/flash residue getting near them to breathe, despite working in a tray to contain most residues.

Yesterday I stopped by my FLGS and left without buying anything, which felt weird. When you go to a hobby/gaming/whatever store, do you usually make a point of picking up at least something? No, not typically. I go to the FLGS usually to meet Jim of Dark Sword Miniatures to deliver prints and sculpts to him, and to do sculpting fixes for him. We meet up about once a month. Occasionally, I pick something up that catches my eye, but not often. I do bring my boys with who typically spend considerable money on MTG, so I don't feel guilty either. And if so did you work from home today? I typically work from home on Mondays and Fridays, any day with bad weather or road conditions, any day with house appointments or expensive packages coming, and when I am sick enough that I don't want to expose my co-workers, but not sick enough to take a sick day. If so, are you a particular type (bored snacker, stress snacker, etc) or just like snacking all the time? And what is your go to anytime snack? Now to find something to eat........ Obsessively. Both bored and stress relief. Preference is anything crunchy and salty. I gave up between meal snacks in February as part of Lent and to lose weight. So far, I am still doing good on this, but it take daily recommitment to make it stick. I REALLY get the urge for popcorn before bed at night. 20 hours ago, Jasper_the_2nd said: Question. Hike back, dry out the drizzly clothes and get lunch. Take a nap. Paint. Eat dinner, watch a movie. It was a surprisingly nice day!

You know what? I was bullied so badly as a child that I don't do this. I remember what it's like to have everyone say nasty things about you. Not to judge anyone else, I still catch myself gossipping from time to time. But I try remember that we all have bad days and what a very wise and respected man said about most of the time most of the people you meet are shouldering a burden inside of themselves, so be considerate. 11

I know they are full to bursting, but I can't stop buying books! The placement of my terrain is a bit of a challenge, but I have discovered under the bed tubs. Lilly has been displaced, but it's for her own good. Why she wants to be under the bed when it's hot out, I'll never know. Come out and lay in front of the fan, sweet girl!
Jasper_the_2nd
Question. Monday May 22nd. For something different, a painting question. In general, are you a white/light colour primer person, and black/dark colour primer person, or a grey/mid colour primer person?

I actually like the quiet and lovely smell of walking in the rain. The only thing I don't like is trying to get all the dirt off Lilly's undercarriage before my walls have a new 2ft high border going down the hall.

Black or dark grey all over, then white or light from the light source. I love that sense of satisfaction that comes as the light zenithal spray starts to highlight details - it’s magic!

The Sandgrave project is almost entirely white undercoats, because everything is either flesh, whites, or bright colours. The GW LotR Easterlings were undercoated brown, because they were gold and red. Many of the other LotR minis are undercoated black, because they have a darker, grittier feel. I don't undercoat Bones.
