Do you like trivia quizzes or game shows?

I do. While I don't watch them all the time. I will stop on Game Show Network when channel surfing (yes I still do it the old fashioned way) or I'll watch a prime time Jeopardy match or whatever. I'm surprised I still can get some of the more obscure questions.

I do ok at trivia. I'm a fountain of useless trivia but have trouble remembering more important things anymore. I don't watch game shows very often and the ones I do watch tend to be more practical application type shows (cooking competitions, Forged in Fire, etc) than trivia.

I do, but not as much as when I was younger. Mostly I just watch Wheel of Fortune and sometimes Jeopardy. Every once in a while I'll catch Wipeout reruns.

I do like quizzes when I"m able to see them. As for game shows, a lot of them nowadays seem a bit too........pre-screened rather than having actual random contestants, a lot of realism is gone from it.

That is another one I have seen because I had the habit of tuning in early for a following show that I did want to watch.

A local station runs WoF from 1830 to 1900. 1900 is when the prime time evening shows begin.

That meant I would see the final puzzle, where they would spin a small wheel once, that would grant them a hidden value prize card, they reveal a few letters, then they get a 60 second countdown to guess the final phrase.

Yes, and I do quite well.  My sister pushes to get me on Jeopardy. but that is because she wants me to fail.  Back about 1983 she was on.  She set a record that stood for decades.  I don't know if she still has it or not.  She lost by the highest margin in final Jeopardy.

Just after that Wied Al Yankovich came out with "I lost on Jeopardy"

Yes, though I don't watch a lot of television Jeopardy is one of the shows I'll watch if I see it's on. I enjoy a game of Trivial Pursuit (as long as we're not playing with my wife's house rules which involves doing shots). I also like pub trivia though I rarely have time to participate. My niece has been trying to get me to join her pub trivia team recently, but it's in the middle of the week and doesn't start until late. So with early morning work schedules I haven't had a chance to get out to it yet.

Do you find your taste in figures and painting styles has changed over the years or are you still collecting the same miniatures that attracted you to the hobby?

My parents literally refused to let me in the living room when Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy were on...  ::P:

I'd wander past the room, glance at the puzzle on WoF and answer it with only two letters showing. Every single time.

Mostly stayed the same. There are new additions to my likes but that hasn't made me want to get rid of the old ones.

Nope, I'm still collecting all the same things. If anything,  I just keep adding more categories.

Hard to say.  I'll playfully say with certainty there's a lot more busty busts on my desk these days...  I have slowly changed from mass scale armies to skirmish ones, as I like how there's more individuality with things, even if you're keeping a semi-cohesive paint scheme, and I have slowly switched from mainly fantasy to mainly science fiction models.  Same with my painting and drawing.  Not really sure why, but I've always liked SciFi a bit more than fantasy, so such could be the reasoning.

Or maybe it's mechs.  Hard to say, but there is something to say for power armour and mechs... And Mecha...

Editing to add in: there's also been a noticeable shift to larger scale, specifically 75mm and larger scales.  Not exactly sure why just yet, but I strongly suspect it has to do with wanting to be able to do more, and have those various tiny little things be more noticeable.  More details like fur patterns, intricate fur colours, and the like... Or for SciFi stuff, weathering.  I also find I'm able to work on larger scale pieces for longer periods of time.

But I think the biggest reason behind the shift to larger scale is it allows me to work on my small little army folk, and have a nice break from micro-details.  Yup, I can sit down and put six billion waterslides on something over a few sessions, but tiny belt buckles wear me down...

Taste for, or choice of, figures has changed many times.

But painting styles?  I barely recognize the style of the paint and for me it does not correlate to particular kinds of figures.

I started off with Humbrol Oil based paints; but changed to acrylics; If those two things are styles?

Attracted to the hobby by dragons.  Have slowly taught myself I don't need to buy every dragon ever, I can be pickier and wait for unique ones.  Fell in the etsy rabbit hole real deep for awhile.  Have also started recently painting more people.  First year I joined rcl, '21, I painted more people minis than the near twenty years previous. Have also at that time switched from mostly thicker artist acrylics to mostly reaper paint.  And I  now thin the art paints more.

Still attracted to dragons.  Got all the bones iv, v, and vi ones.
