A stone golem picked in the paint club. 

 

I made the mistake of using a cool white that had a slight blue hue on the highlights.  Oh well.  Overall I think the 3 grays used worked.

I don't know; I think it kinda adds to the 'slowly awakening magical guardian' effect.

Looks great, real inspiring.  I'm impressed with the variety and depth of color for what could otherwise be a dull model.

Alright, y'all are making me feel better about it.  As always, I'm sure I'm my own worst critic.  The highlights didn't come out as I had hoped, but some of the recess shading helped blend some of what I'd consider mistakes or otherwise 'unnatural' strokes disappear.  The blueish tone was a bit stronger than I wanted in some areas, but it helped the 3 greys I used to look different.  I used mostly Vallejo paints on this one:
Stone Grey
Neutral Grey
Off White
Silver Grey

 

Then helped tie them in with a dark wash of scale 75 paints thinned down of blue and brown.  There's always more to do the model, but I think it's safe to put it down where he's at.  

 

I also want to say thanks to @inarah for picking the model to do.  Fun challenge and always up to have something to motivate me to try something.

Nephrite / Jadeite,  that's what it reminded me of. A mineral associated with the precious stone Jade but lower quality. Nephrite and Jadeite are both really hard stone, the perfect material for a Stone Golem

Excellent paint job and I agree with everyone, I don't see any errors, just really nice stonework.
