This was precisely my problem (and it turned into a bit of a problem for everyone else I guess...).

I don't know if I would personally go so far as to try to earn that ribbon for finding everyone, but then again I didn't think I would find everyone on my card this year either.  That said, the only problem I see with having a second card with everyone on it is that people would basically just be playing with that list instead of the Bingo card.  I suppose if one can't even get that card until one earns the blackout ribbon, that might work.

Yeah, taking six classes total, plus our traditional sushi/Asian stores trip, and other activities that take me out of the main hall reduces my visibility. Probably not going to take that many next year. Decided this year was a rebuilding project, and considering I had trouble putting on a base-coat, it for sure describes my current skill.

I figure it’d be giving out both cards at the same time and they’d play simultaneously. New people would likely take just the bingo card while experienced players may take both.

I know a lot of the people ON the cards enjoy signing the cards, but that’s not a requirement. Sign away if you want! Still not in the rules. Technically, the player with the card can check off a person even if they met in class card-less and never saw the person again the entire con. Or at Buc-ee’s, In & Out, or the hotel pool. It’s meeting the person during the con and introducing yourself that’s important, not the signature.

Truthfully, I do not verify anyone’s claim to have bingo or blackout, even when they try to show me proof. Don’t care. By cheating, you only cheat yourself and win yourself a throw-away ribbon. Go you! But did you miss the opportunity to meet a new friend, someone who’s interesting, and a friendly face next year? Yes, you certainly did. Go you.

Maybe have a second person handing out cards?

I've got a second person. She worries that because she doesn't talk enough that people think she doesn't speak English. She would not be up to talking to that many people.

But there are other ways of dispersing cards. I've got that whole "quest" thought. There's time to think and ponder. An idea may surface. There's a glint of a thought.

I think "Completionist" has a nice ring to it as well.

I love this one after reading what goldenpiggy said. I feel for those who want to go above and beyond on the bingo card. This ribbon would make a lot of sense.

I think there will be some people who want to go all out and get that super hard but fun ribbon. 😉

I wonder if these is way to do a double sided card, one with regular bingo, then super bingo on back 🤔. Might start to get a little expensive though.

Not sure if there’s an additional charge for double sided or not. Would make things easier to hand out. Would ruin using the unused cards as scratch pads. Just since reading that, since I could drop the rules off, might have more space to add everyone in a slightly smaller icon size. Definitely worth thinking on.

Interesting. I think a lot of people would ask you how to play with no rules. If that doesn't bother you. I think a lot of people probably asked how to play before even getting the card. Myself included. Asked someone how to get a card and how to play before I even read the rules. 😃

This might create a lot more work for you, so obviously feel free to reject the suggestion on those grounds, but if you were printing double-sided cards you could just put the names and icons of everyone not on the bingo card on the back, rather than just putting everyone on the back of every card.  So the front would have twenty-five icons in a five-by-five grid, and the back would have just a bunch of icons.  It might not take all that much more time to make, since you can throw every icon on the two-page card, drag the necessary ones to the front into the grid, then make the back a little more orderly, but I suppose that all depends on what program you are using to design the cards.

I was meaning the second side wouldn’t need rules since it was simply an extended version of the front main card. That second side wouldn’t need the rules box giving me more space.

I use a powerpoint clone for the card design. And, I would have all the icons to start with as I create all 20 different cards. Problem arises on if the double sided print goes long or short side flip.

And after I wrote that, realized there would be 20 different backs. But if I make a single megabingo card, I only have to do that once. Efficiency.

Careful, he's an engineer! I'm pretty sure that they lose their membership card if they makes things too simple. ::P:

I can still keep things simple and retain membership as long as I make a tech’s life harder.

@Pegazus Thank you again for all your effort in getting us nerds to socialize! And, for the mini Corsair cosplay. I say mini because cutting it in half was the only way it was fitting on my noggin. For the third year in a row, I have had an absolute blast -  both playing and being on the card. I've met so many phenomenal people - and shared lots of laughs - all thanks to your forum-ite bingo. Cheers! 🍻
