My trouble was that I spent too much time getting ready for bubonicon and Reapercon, and that cut into my painting. It was worth it though since gaming at both conventions was exceptional buckyball

For August: -- finish the last terrain piece in Shadows of Ravenhome -- finish an ogre I started at Reapercon last year -- finish the dwarven mage from the 22nd quarterly contest -- "" the owlbear from the 23rd quarterly contest -- "" Andowyn from the 24th quarterly contest -- keep plugging away at the huge pile of Archon terrain I got last year So, August was a whole bunch of "nope" in the painting department, but I did finish most of the terrain, and cracked open a new box to take to Reapercon (and even got some prep work done on it). I finished the astrolabe which has been on my desk all summer.

I’m now up to Day 96, so will be bringing up the 3 digits very soon. I've got a Blood Bowl team I need to paint in the next 2 months, so that will be my main focus. My goal went well. My painting streak continues. I'm now on Day 134 and counting. Edited September 10 by Olaf the Stout

Mine keeps bending and leaning over buckyball Standard Bones prep: wash in hot water before painting. IIRC I had to soak the base in hot water and weight it to get it flat, and the segment with the bell was also a little warped. Base coated pieces separately before gluing. Pegs on the monkey's feet had to be carved down a bit to fit well. I assembled the sphere separately, some of the pegs fit badly, and I wanted to allow plenty of time for glue to dry. There's a stiff plastic arc that holds the sphere, once it slots into the softer plastic bottom half the whole thing straightens up a lot more. I just took it one piece at a time and made sure everything fit as well as possible.
