haldir
Anyone every use Backerkit for crowd-funding? There is a Unofficial Shadowdark release & the creators are using Backerkit for it.
kristof65
I just did for the Lore Maste's Deck project by The Story Engine guy. Seemed to be ok. I was part of his Deck of World's KS, and he used Backerkit to fulfill that, so it didn't seem like a big leap to use it for the whole project this time.
haldir
Is it payment now or payment when the campaign ends?
kristof65
The one I did was payment at end of campaign, just like KS.
cmorse
It seems like almost every game related kickstarter uses as there after kickstarter pledge management solution these days.
haldir
Yah, I've never seen it as the actual campaign. Why I asked. Hopefully that Shadowdark one is a post pay as I'd rather have it after RCon. I guess I'll find out later today.
haldir
Just wanted to add that this campaign is identical to Kickstarter when it comes to funding. Payment will be collected later next month. Looking forward to it!
Cygnwulf
Backerkit has become one of the more popular fulfilment managers for gaming KS, so it's kinda not that surprizing they eventually grew into running the campaigns themselves. Kick and Go seems kinda popular too though,
1dunnj
2 things with backerkit, 1 don't expect a lot of stretch goals. no-one is discovering new things on backerkit, so its only hardcore fans and the projects will be smaller 2. keep project emails and follow the links in there. backerkit still doesn't have their main page worked out and its too easy to log in as a content creator instead of a backer.
