blessing of gruumsh

I finally found some time to paint again!

 

This is a classic sculpt by Ral Partha from their "American Line". Usually orcs don't interest me too much but I'm completely blown away by the posture of this sculpt. I imagined this to be the moment when the spirit of Gruumsh takes over this little orc. He needed some shiny new weapons for that, I couldn't bring myself to weather his stuff. 😇

Classic mini! I had this blister as a kid. Wasn’t the sword jagged? Or was that his friend?

I used him as a test piece for the olive skin triad and I think it works really well for a more realistic orc or goblin skin.
