FreeFall
OK, we know a 10 is always a success, but does a 1 always fail? I've always assumed it does, but can't find it anywhere in the rulebook. Matt? Bryan? An official word please? Thanks.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted October 1, 2004 Moderator Share Posted October 1, 2004 I do not believe that a 1 is an automatic fail.

Cerridwyn1st
Righty-O, I don't see anything that says a one is an automatic failure. However, if you look at the Campaign section, it shows the win/Loss results depending on the size of one force versus another. A one on that table is always a loss, even with overwhelming force. So I'd say that "one is an autofail" is at least implied by this. It would give those characters with a discipline of 9 at least some chance of blowing it. :)
Akela
1 has no effect other than being a
Cerridwyn1st
So if a model has a discipline of 9, it will never, ever fail a discipline check, even on a roll of one? For instance a Greater Dragon, with Disciplne 9 throughout (or Judas Bloodspire, for that matter) has no chance of failing a discipline check, ever? shakhak
You are correct, Cerridwyn1st. Tomb Gaurds have the same thing going for them and it proves to be deadly when they start moving in and out of melee and attacking who they want.
