corgi Charging into battle!

Thankfully this was a 2 part model. Unfortunately, I made it 3 pieces by breaking the sword off while I was basing.  Shaking head in disappointment. I hate that about resin.

I agree with you about resin. I've started to stick my toes into this whole 3D printed thing, and I feel like I want to wait a while longer until they come out with a stronger formula.

I like the thought of thousands of these guys together in a Peter Jackson-style battle scene. Someone get on that.

 

Really good work on this pair. I think that the (relatively) darker colors being on the corgi and the lighter colors being on the hedgehog's spikes works well. It's like you're suggesting highlighting where the light would hit, but doing it through the color palette rather than traditional shading/highlighting methods. I'm not sure if that makes any sense in writing, but it makes sense in my head. Great assured, it's a complement. 

 

Of course, the parts that DO use traditional shading/highlighting are also well-done. Great piece.
