Anyone having trouble uploading photos? Unknown Server error

Recommended Posts

I just tried to upload photos in the painting show off forum.

When I hit upload, I got a pop-up message.

"Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file." (Error code: -200)

Am I doing something wrong?  I usually have no issues uploading photos.

Thank you for any help on this issue.

I just had this problem, it worked uploading the photos if I posted the topic then uploaded the photos by editing the post.

Just tried that and it is not working for me. Anyone know how to delete a post? I have an annoyingly pic free post up there at the moment.

No, not you guys.

@Reaper_Jon

@kit

There seems to be a bug in the photo uploading system.

There's another glitch.

I tried to edit an older post ( adding a link with a Reaper miniature I posted into the Reaper Miniatures Thread) and I got a warning that I couldn't edit it because it was too long ago the topic had been posted?

If this keeps up I can't edit my Overview from all I've done ( see my sig).

I did just get a Cloudflare protection page, verifying I'm hooomun. So who knows.

I got one of those today.  I wonder if that is part of a new anti-spammer upgrade.

Yep, I had the exact same problem, exact same scenario, except I was adding links to a post I had made less than an hour ago.

Interestingly enough, this post here is the first time that the captcha stayed open long enough for me to actually click the verification

box...  The other ones from last night and this morning auto-advanced before I could get to it.

and now it's letting me edit?  Hmmm....

I'm guessing it's an additional layer added in, and now poor Kit is having to do cleanups on various aisles to keep the extra layers it brings in, but reduces the issues for those involved in regular day to day posting.

Apologies, y'all. I was working on mitigating a bot attack for the last few days, and I saw some weird pen testing with odd URLs trying to upload to the forum. I guess I got a little too protective. Give it a shot now, and let me know how you fare.

I did it for you.

Thanks for that CW.

Whatever it is it seemed to let a few in 12 or so hours ago, but it's still not letting me upload pics. I haven't made any changes to what I do with my images (resized to less than 1000px wide and no more than 100kb per file), so either an update to chrome on my end has caused something or there's something wonky with the system.

Edit - Looks like Kit's fix has worked. I'm not sure my fungi will be worth the wait, but here goes . . .

I can now edit my older posts.

But I keep getting the cloudflare asking me if I'm human?

Is that going to stay?.
