chaosscorpion
conscious I can't believe you were six years old when I started painting miniatures. Actually, there's a girl at the gas station who, I'm told, has a crush on me. She's 20, and cute. I'm of two minds about it, since she's grown and presumably capable of making her own decisions, and heck when I was 20 I had no trouble chasing ladies 15 or 20 years more than me. But at the same time, I find it a little creepy that I have paint that's older than she is. My friend has a rule on dating younger women. Half your age plus six; if she this number or older you are good to go, I had ammended it to plus 8, since I could not in good conscious see myself dating a girl less than 18 when I was 20 or 21, but that was a long time ago. fanguad
Half your age plus seven is the rule I've always heard.
ttuckerman
Half your age and at least a 7 out of 10? Is that what you are saying? After the Saftey Dance we have to keep it wierd.
CashWiley
Don't like dancing? Be in the band.
recruittons
Personally, I love dancing. I grew up near San Francisco, so I was big into raving for a while. Very much a fan of electronica. Then I branched out into hip-hop dancing and some breakdancing stuff. Now I'm terribly out of shape and couldn't perform a proper 4-step, let alone an Au Batido or a forearm stall. I can still pop and lock like a mug, and my liquid is still solid. Just not what it used to be
buglips*the*goblin
I can't agree to the half plus whatever rule. It interferes with my life plan to get ridiculously rich, grow super old, and marry a hot stripper wife. Then when I expire, she'll greedily attend the will reading, only to discover I've donated it all to . . . I dunno, research into the mating habits of the south american tree frog. Heh heh heh. recruittons
Or that you invested every penny into fanciful dog collars for dogs you've never owned. Your only assets are 820,000 rhinestoned collars in various colors.
dispatchdave
Everybody's all so serious. It's like they're afraid of being laughed at. Not me, that's what I'm hoping for. Because whatever they think of the weird guy dancing badly to Thriller in the bank line-up, I'm having fun doing it. And whether they realize it or not, they are having fun while I'm doing it. And for those few minutes, everybody's day is brighter, more amusing, and they've got a story to bring back to the water cooler. Sounds like all win to me. Hail Eris. :) Also, you're now my wife's hero. She too is mad as a hatter and badly dances to Thriller.
Qwyksilver
Meh, she's 20 and cute. My own anecdote above may one day save you a lot of confusion. If, one day, you are in a queue and start dancing, one of the reactions you get is that a rough looking guy with an Australian accent wails "YOU BASTARDS" and starts punching the nearest baby boomer.... you'll know what's happening. I request to be subdued, placed in the recovery position, and fed Prozac until the shaking stops. I think I would rather sing you the ABC's... Hit you with 2mg of Ativan, 50 mg Benedryl and 100 of Chlorpromazine (Thorazine) IM. Prozac won't do anything in the moment, and the risk of getting bitten shoveling the pills in is too high. No, I have never done this before...ever...honest.
smokingwreckage
Man if I do ever go out of my gourd I hope you're around; you have all the good stuff.
klawzie
At Reddit, the phrase is: Relevant xkdc. I am counting on this a little too much. I am a hermit who enjoys dancing and is bad at it. I am sure to meet a great partner in crime one day. xD Or partner in... crime-fighting. Since I'm just stodgy enough that I'm not sure I'd enjoy a life of crime. Corporea
Liberating experience: Visit foreign country and learn local dance, taught to you in local language which you don't really speak. Hilarious! Even funnier than cats on catnip.
