GodSpeed Superman!!!

RIP: Christopher Reeve

"But most will remember this sad day as the day the proudest, most noble man they ever knew finally fell. For those who loved him -- one who would call him husband, one who would be his pal, or those who would call him son -- this is the darkest day they could ever imagine. They raised him to be a hero: to know the value of sacrifice, to know the value of life. And for those who served with Superman in the protection of all life comes the shock of a failure: the weight of being too late to help. For a city to live, a man had given his all and more. But it's too late. For this is the day that a Superman died." - Superman #75, 1992 (written by Dan Jurgens)

I thought his comments that scientific research to better humanity's health should not continue be fettered by conservative reliogious cranks, and that his efforts had become bogged in politics rather than hope, really should have gotten through to alot more people by now.

So because we stand against the creation of millions of humans only to slaughter them for research that actually has no better chance of suceeding than similar research using non destructive means, we deserve to be belittled and called names? Thanks Tommy.

I admire Mr. Reeve very much and the strength he showed during his life, which was far greater than that of the character that he played.

May you rest in peace, Superman.

Tommy. -_-

Right on.

Huzzah wuzzah?

Who said that? You have a unrealistic view of stem-cell research if that's what you're refering to. There are thousands of frozen embryos sitting around in labs all over the country. The owner of those embryos has to pay a storage fee for them. As soon as they decide they don't want any more kids or don't want to pay the fee, those go right in the bio-hazard garbage. Yes, that's a much better use for them than research.

I await the tirade.
