ThePolo
Oooh! He's huge! VERY smooth. I really like the sword and the skin. You've got a really clean look going there. Great subtle NMM!
skavenbabe
I really like that beard color and the shield on the back is cool! and again, your bases rock.
Spartan6
Amazing! Love the sword and the skin!
FuzzyIzmit
I love the whole thing...except the sword blade seems to be missing something. The NMM looks like a bit like matte polished aluminum...I dont know if it is that exactly. Maybe some other people who are good at NMM can help me out here.... That's just a certain style of NMM that the "Rackham" painters made famous. It's usually preferable to mimic their style when painting Confrontation minis. I personally find it flat and cartoony but I won't go there. The execution is skillfully performed however, very smooth blends and the style is pulled off well. It's not the skill, but the style that I don't prefer. Hope that helps.

Darkstar
Yes, cartoony. As in two colors to represent metal. Grey and light grey. If you've ever seen a cartoon, you might have an idea of what I am referring to. Zaphod, I don't know what I did or said to you, but everything I post lately you come right back immediately and counter it. I wouldn't mind, but it gets tiring re-explaining myself when I try to be concise and offer my opinion on another artists piece.
zaphod
Sorry, didn't mean to come off so abrasively. It just seemed odd that you would say that, considering your very bright style. There is nothing wrong with using only two colors to render something. As an example, I have done some very successful gold NMM using only 2 colors, Snakebite leather and white. Guess I will give you a break now :D Sorry
Darkstar
No problem. I was just noticing a trend and wanted to make sure everything was cool? Just to be sure I'm clear on this point Rodnik, I wasn't referring to this piece, but to the Rackham style of painting in general they tend to blend everything into oblivion where it almost looks like it was painted in soft pastel chalk. It's weird, I'm the only person on Earth I think who doesn't like Rackham..lol I do like the pirate Goblins and Orcs though, those rock! You've done a good job emulating that style if that is what you were going for. I'm pretty sure it is as most Confrontation minis I've seen are usually painted with a similar technique to resemble the ones painted on the cards. Ichabod Crane
Wonderful piece, Kev. Love your work .. again. If you have a lil time, think you could dig around and do a old versus new mini like Flynn did? Love to see it.

Mourningcloud
hey rod, what colors did you use to achieve this flesh tone? i really like it, and am trying to achieve a similar tone.
Brumbor
The flesh tones rock, as does the base. I don't care for the NMM style but you exicuted it really well. To Darkstar That makes two of us I don't care for Rackham's figs either. They all seem over the top.
