What do you get when one of R.E.Howard's greatest characters meets one of Lovecraft's greatest monsters? Well, here's a photo:

The "Solomon Kane" figure is a conversion of the Undertaker(2845) with shovel removed and the addirion of a GW pistol and sword. The Eldritch Demon is a new Jason Wiebe wonderment!

Here's a close-up of Kane. All the background material is Hirstarts.

Everyone knows that Cthulhu will win. Not only is the sight of him drive people insane but he can change his size at will along with and part of his body can change individually. "Secret which eternal lies, and with strange aeons even death may die" Vote Cthulhu: the greater of two evils.

I don't know anything about the Call of Cthulu universe except that it's hard to pronounce.

But what I would say, is that yeah, the big green thing with the Octopus head is going to have the lil' guy for a snack.

I love the scene though, great perspective and clarity. All I have to say is , better have an enchanted bullet pal!

Way cool,

I remember playing a Cthulu adventure about 9 years ago and we were confronting a big nasty and I was the only one standing because I had an amulate that protected my mind the rest were either heavily wounded or had their minds shreded into salads, anyway I was lucky enough to figure out what his wekness was and destroyed his physical form and saved the world atleast for a little while. :B):

Well, Howard and Lovecraft were friends and wrote often. Lovecraft wrote that he felt Howard was a masterful writer and a genius. I think, if it meant Howard would live longer, even the mighty Eldritch Demon would fall to the fury of the Puritan.

Not withstanding, I still think it would a close match.

Why does Cthulhu have his left pec pierced?

Glam man even the old ones want to be stylish.

I do believe that Cuthulu's plan's would have been foiled by the might of Puritan religion but I don't believe it would defeat or even be a close match. Not unless the higher power came in and then something would be done. But death wouldn't have been the result.

How do I pronounce our President Elect's name?

There are basically three different pronunciations that I have heard, other pronunciations being slight modifications on these.

The most commonly heard pronunciation is that suggested by Chaosium, makers of the "Call of Cthulhu" roleplaying game. On the back of many of their gaming products is printed the phrase, "Can you say kuh-THOOL-hoo?". (I pronounce it kuh-THOO-lhoo.)

Another pronunciation is that used by several Lovecraftian scholars. This form is based on Lovecraft's revision tales where Cthulhu is often referred to as "Clooloo" or "Clulu". Unfortunately, this form does not have a sound representing the "th" combination.

Lastly there is a compromise between these two. The "h" sounds are aspirated, thus the "th" is not as in "them" or "thin", but two separate sounds. The first four letters of the word are run together in something like a sneezing sound, "K't'hoo-lhoo".

And for scale, that guy is more Starspawn than the Old Guy himself

I've always pronounced it "k-THOO-loo" with the "k" sound at the start almost silent.

BUT... IF the name Cthulhu were Gaelic, taking into consideration all the weird ways the letter-combinations translate, his name is probably actually pronounced, "Bubba"

Oh.. and if we all start calling him "president-elect", we might oughtta put a "political" label on the thread.
