"Ummm... I uhhh..." one of the young junior officer stammered, trying not to upset his superiors with his interruption. His patheticaly laborious attempt to get everyone's attention seemed rather wise at the moment, especially when he stood right next to the angered Hallack.

"Speak up, boy! We're all men here! Go on!" Gurney said loudly.

"Well... ummm... I think Master Idaho and his men brought radios with them. Standart Atreides equipment, see? I ... uhh... believe he said he was trying to link up a frequence for communication with the Fremens..." the young man said.

"So what do you actually want me to do, am I flying your man out there or what ? Can't see why else you want a pilot. Also how much is this gig going to pay ?"

"The Sietch is at least 200 miles north of here, which is the closest one compared to the other Sietches. The trip from Bandar to Sietch Malan is a journey through baking sand dunes without barely enough rock crags to keep you safe, so we will be using aircrafts to transport you to Malan instead. I'm sure you won't have trouble knowing how to fly those, yes?" Hawat replied with a smile.

"If you accomplish this mission, mercenaries, your reward will be 700 Solaris Credits each. You will receive more or less, depending on how well you accomplish your task." he said.

Caleb looks at Araore and says "So either the officers are at your seitch and it has been captured or they are in an entirely different location. This is going to be an interesting day. So are we going to go straight to the seitch which could be full of Harkonenn scum or try find the possible other location?"

"In that it appears you know where the sietch is, when is the next spice operation taking place near there. I do not like flying directly to the seitch, with out at least a cover story. We could fly escort and then have 'wing issues'. "

"Clearly this must be some sort of Harkonen trap."

"Yes. That could be a possible outcome, but the lives of our men much outweighs the danger. Especially when one of them is our most valuable agent..." Hawat said.

"So either the officers are at your seitch and it has been captured or they are in an entirely different location. This is going to be an interesting day. So are we going to go straight to the seitch which could be full of Harkonenn scum or try find the possible other location?"

"The Fremens are a strong people. I doubt that the Harkonnens would have dared enter our territory and destroy the sietch without some form of cover-up or excuse. But still, it is entirely possible that the Harknonnens are behind this. Our base is the only Atreides bastion that's close to Sietch Malan, and it wouldn't be impossible for the Harknonnens to sneak there without us knowing it." he continued.

Hawat stood up, and punched something in the table panel. He inserted a small disk into a slot.

"Here's the recording of the message sent to us. We do not know if it's genuine, but it might help you..." he said as the room speaker began to play the message.

"[begin Message]........ This is Pikaaaaar of Sieeeetch Malaaa...... We have ordeeeered..... caaaaptive..... Weeee........hold your meeeeeen in custody until........ pleeeeeaaaaase, be assured that......... no daaaaanger....... theeeeem..................... [End Message]"

Chaylyn and Araore somewhat recognize the voice to be that of Pikar, the current leader of your Sietch.

The rest hears something awkward about the garbled state of the message. There was barely any static, usually heard when a frequency is not effectively received, but rather there was a lot of altered sounds as the voice grew or fell in pitch. The disruption seemed very unnatural...

"Do we have enough data to be able to triangulate the radio broadcasts?"

"No. The garbled state of it has given insufficient data to track it." he said.

"The Sietch is located in Atreides territory, even though it is somewhat far from here. A few of our Ornithopter squadrons patrols the area. We have sent for one of them to escort you to the Sietch." Hawat said.

"Spice Operation near the Sietch has not been effectively put into action, considering how we have just establish our forward command post here. Harvesting operations have been limited to the outskirt of the rock crags for the time being. In fact, we have provided you with a transport Carryall, scheduled next week for Harvester Carrier." he continued.

"I would suggest that we establish a base of operations at one of our sanctuaries near the seiche. Then me and Chaylyn proceed to the seiche to reconoiter the situation. If there is a Harkonen stench to this tale then we would be the people to find out. Taking outsiders to a seiche would only escalate the situation."
