Properly done, yes. BUT...that could also be a very isolated dwarf. I don't dispute the tactic, but I do urge caution against sending a lone figure storming toward the entire enemy force.

But that's what Thorvald's best at. He creates havoc. Use him to take the other player's mind off the rest of your force. Throw him against the enemy, they surround him, you move the rest of your troop up to flank them. If he dies, rest assured that he'll take a few with him.

Though it not be an official battle against opposing forces in my region, for lack of registration on the others part, I shall introduce my army tomorrow and let them taste the blood of man. Crusaders have been spotted to the east, and the west the Necropolis breathe down my neck. It shall be a valiant fight, one these lands will never forget. With any luck others will see our dwarven might and gather their own forces as I embark on my quest to gain hold over my territory.

Sincerely,

Lord Orlwick Brisbane

I have to vote Kara.

Painting her up with my wife's colors. (Green outfit, red hair)

Sassy, sexy archer....they are two of a kind =)....ok so wifey shoots a longbow and likes elves...but she is a short tempered, irish wench (yes she LIKES be called that as a 'wench' is a working woman, a 'bunny' is a prissy girl, god i love my tomboy).

But also have to say that Freya is pretty damn cute too.

Ok enough of my weirdness.....back to your regularly scheduled weirdness....

Ok, to keep the excitement rolling here in the Tavern I've decide to start a unit review. Each week we'll look at one of models and discuss their strengths and weaknesses as well as deployment tactics and the ease/difficultly of painting and assembling of the model.

Until next time remember using strains of elf hair to get the lil' bits of goblin blood out of the nooks and crannies of yer Battle axe is all fine and dandy but remember to remove the hair from the elf first. It causes less whining that way

Ah yes, once again our vertically challenged allies go after a fellow good aligned race for fear of tangling with the evils ones as we elves do.

HMmm....KAra, Frey, or MArgara.....Why not just ask me who my favorite Gramma is? Here is a question though: What colors are you painting your dwarve's beards? I seem to have alot of red heads and blonds, wiht a small amount of brunettes following up.

Weekly Dwarven Model Review

Model : Dwarven Warriors (14112)

+/- : At the heart of any dwarven fighting company is the warrior. With axe and shield they cleave through hordes of undead and orcs alike. Their main strength is their above average MAV and their ability to fully take advantage of their reach specialist.

While many may assume the dwarves major weakness to be their speed in true this but a minor hurdle easily compensated by the faction abilities. Their true weakness is the below average DV. This can be deadly for an aggressive army like the dwarves.

Tactics: One word: Teamwork. The warriors work best when accompanied by halberdiers. I strongly recommend at least one halberdier to every two warrior. Typical I will split my Dwarven troop into small units of three (1 halberdier and 2 warrior) and send these lil’ group against single opponents. Best of all, there is no need to worry about Coup de grace thanks to the faction ability of Bane.

One more thing regarding the dwarves with they’re relatively low DV and above average MAV they are an offensive force and not suited for holding defensive positions. The Dwarven motto would be “the best defense is a good offense”.

Lastly do forget the musician upgrade for all yer Dwarven Troops; it’ll be the best 15pts ya ever spent.

Assembly/painting : moderate… Both they’re axes and shield will need to be glued on (thankful I didn’t need to pin them). The models have a fair amount of detail so a beginning painter will find them challenging but not overwhelming.

Overall Rating: good Although the Dwarven warriors have excellent special abilities and decent cost they suffer from having merely modest stats when compared to the Templar Knights.
