warlordgarou
My banshee took out 4 merc archers in the last game. She died right after, but it was worth it. Both her and the gargoyle paid for themselves, which is more than I can say for a couple of other models. . . .

Super Jag
Has anyone else figured out whether Judas is worth his points? I'm definitely inclined to just field ANY other leader besides him and put the excess points into upgrades or more troops.
All-Terrain Monkey
I've seen the Banshee take out 2/3 of an Elf force in one shot. Granted, she dies right afterwards, but she's more than paid for herself. ...every time. I've seen a Banshee scoot through a building to the other side to unleash a blast at my orcs. Cards shuffle, and next turn Necros go first. Banshee lets loose again, then scoots back to original position. Yep.... they're just incredible. Lord Baasen
Has anyone else figured out whether Judas is worth his points? I'm definitely inclined to just field ANY other leader besides him and put the excess points into upgrades or more troops. Judas is worth the points if he's in a troop with at least 6 grunts/adepts. When the big clash of troops happen, get Judas to the side so even if he does get taken down, his Tough/5 will keep him in the fray. What I mean is don't engage a pocket of 3 or more models. He's a good fighter, but his defense is lacking. I do NOT suggest throwing Judas against the Brothel-Hopper Gerard. Well not without some support at least. That Tough/5 seems like you'll come out on top, but not against the axe-wielding-maniac. Obviously, if you run a game over 1000pts you'll need him, since he's the only Necropolis Warlord. But you knew that.
Wrath of One
All I have to say about Necro Armies is: Skeletals A mob of skeletons backed up by judas & a spellcaster or 2 is tough to beat. Banshee is wicked as well. Skeletal mob + Judas+ malek(or 2)+ Banshee= kick butt

Star Drifter
My banshee took out 4 merc archers in the last game. She died right after I wouldn't call it dead; just a vacation from this plane of existance. She'll be back. Aryanun and I just got the book and some minis yesterday. Since I already owned one Gauntfield and one Crimson Knight (the mini which won me over), Necropolis was a cheap place to start. I think Ary and I are planning to start with 600 or 700 point armies, just to learn the rules while we save up for more minis. Right now, my setup is one (borrowed) Judas, Crimson Knight, Skeletal Archers, and Naomi. I still remembering touring Reaper, and seeing the bin full of Crimson Knights about two months before it was released. Next time, I want an Elsbeth, more grunts, and at least one solo. Probably a Banshee from the looks of things here. This could be a good deal of fun.
mateybob
done anyone feel naomi is worth the points? sure she has the 30" scry shot but if youre doing that youre not going to be casting spells.. and her CP isnt even that high.. Moderator Froggy the Great Posted November 22, 2004 Moderator Share Posted November 22, 2004 Any thing with scrye shot is by definition worth the points. This is IMNERHO.

Lord Baasen
Naomi's Scrye Shot is incredibly valuable in the first couple rounds of play. When the troops get closer have her target the leaders or Troops if they bunch up. Near the end she could be useful for screening with the Undying Host. Terminalcase
I am having a little difficulty defeating elves, troops can't seem to do well up close, the leaders I am thinking I am tooling out way too much for the job I want them to accomplish. azarphan with Greater magical weapon and armor upgrades, athak with the same, and then a few skeleton warriors, wraiths and bowmen. One banshee and one elite of some kind, not sure what one though. I havent' found one I am comfortable with yet, none of them have worked very well so far. I am waiting to get gauntfield and malek just dies too easily. Naomi is too many points and I didn't get a chance to get Naivar close to do anything. I just don't think I"ve found a comfortable style of play with them yet. I am so used to my previous play styles of undead from other games, rush in as fast as I can and attack ignoring casualties which is rather hard to do successfully in this game. abngi
the leaders I am thinking I am tooling out way too much I agree. However, if the buffed leaders work, then go for it. In this case, since it isn't working, I would reduce your leader upgrades to only greater armor and field more soldiers.
