Bill_Adcock
Enchantra, Lanse, and all youse mugs in the Rochester area - My application to Geneseo was accepted! I went Early Decision so that I'd know early whether I was accepted or not, and the notice came in the mail today. Hmm. Now I have to learn how to really paint, or be justly impaled with the butt-ends of many, many paintbrushes.
Dragon Snack
Congrats man! Can't wait to meet you (Rochester as well). Don't forget to look up GAGG (the college gaming group). Built in gaming for you at Geneseo. You won't have to go far for their Con either, it's right on campus.
Qwyksilver
Hey CONGRATS Bill!!! I did early acceptance when I applied for college too. It's a great feeling knowing where you are going. It's even more fun watching all your classmates freaking out after the holidays not knowing, while you get to sit back and just relax. It definitely takes a huge amount of stress off your shoulders. Just torment them when they start asking the "Big envelope, Little envelope?" question.
SaintRigger
HA! I've visited Geneseo quite a bit.... you'll have lots of time and desire to do nothing but paint! ;) Congratz! It's a good school, lots of my mates graduated from there... what will you be studying?

Now you can become one of the group! Me, Frosch, Kellyn, Dragon_Snack, ecs05norway (I'm forgetting a few here...) need another minion! Nah we won't prod you with paintbrushes. Instead we will drag you all over the area to paint and takes and other such things. You will get to know the Reaper wall of wonder at Millenium Games and Hobbies and the small insides of Coyote's Den. And well just about every hobby shop inbetween. Actually if you take 390 North into Rochester from Geneseo you are closer to Frosch and Kellyn than to me. I'm a good hour from Geneseo. (I'm southeast of Rochester.) eastman
Congrats, I've also heard a lot of good things about SUNY Geneseo (I went to a smaller SUNY campus and escaped from Rochester about 14 years ago)
Bill_Adcock
what will you be studying? Lots of biology and chemistry -- I'm not quite sure at the moment what I want to do with my life, I'm torn between being a high school biology teacher (Christmas, Easter, and summers off) and being a pharmacist in Florida. I can't wait to escape the cold forever. I want to do a semester abroad too - someplace exotic, but not too much -- Scotland, Ireland, Wales, England, maybe Norway. Thats what dragged me all the way up to the frozen white north! But then again, I have a minor is chemistry anywhoo...you could go that route, or double major... deflagratio
Congrats man. I remember that feeling when I got my college acceptance letter. Parents really get off your back then.
Enchantra
Congrats man. I remember that feeling when I got my college acceptance letter. Parents really get off your back then. Oh I remember the three acceptance letters I got. The first one was to my first choice school, which unfortunately was to expensive for me. I remember opening it and practically knocking my mother over as I went to hug her and screaming quite loudly in glee. With Graduate school though it was different. I only received one acceptance letter. I was happy I got in, but it was my third choice school.

I Have lost track of if there is anything resembling a FLGS near there, but millennium is one of the Stores that you can Find His Froggyness, DragonSnack, Kellyn and others (occasionally myself too!) Congrats on the Acceptance!! Enjoy the Town, it's really not that bad. Tim

Moderator Froggy the Great Posted December 16, 2004 Moderator Share Posted December 16, 2004 Heh. Welcome to the area. If you are at all inclined towards natural wonder, you must must go to Letchworth park at your earliest convenience.
Bill_Adcock
I went to Letchworth two years ago for a fieldtrip for Earth Science. Beautiful place, though I've only seen it covered in snow.
