Pinprick Pixies

Legend has it that there are fae for everything; Fae that steal your socks, fae that curdle your milk, fae that feed your toes to badgers. Whether or not that they have an actual occupation, the Pinprick Pixies are nevertheless the fae that stalk innocent mortals on wintry days. The sensation of pinpricks when bare flesh is exposed to freezing weather is their work. They exist regardless of the legend, and they can be very dangerous. Innately connected with the cold, these pixies prefer to hit their targets with icy blasts from a distance. If a mortal should wander too close, they are quite capable of defending themselves.

Lucretia (suggested mini - The Goth Faerie)

One in a while, persons arise which have hobbies that others deem, well, unnatural. Lucretia is a fae of such unnatural hobbies. She is an artist and a musician, but her chosen medium is the curdled the blood of a man. She makes portraits of blood and gore, and her music comes from the screams of her victims. A few of her works now hang in Princess Roseblade's bedchambers. She obtains her artistic materials very carefully, stalking humans who wander too far from civilization. If they travel in groups, Lucretia uses her powers of illusion to separate them. When her prey is all alone, Lucretia appears to them as a small, innocent pixie, promising riches if they follow her...into her trap. Those who survive her performances are often given to Nattaya and turned into particularly cruel Meplets.

Well, that's the main difficulty here, how to make an army with generic cards that you can play without the accusations of cheese.

"Oh yeah, too good for the standard armies are you? Gotta make your own cheesy stuff 'cause you can't figure out how to win using a real army?" <-- that's the sort of thing I personally want to avoid. Unfortunately the only way to avoid that is to make an army that has no strengths, and that's not an acceptable way out either.

I have to honestly say, since I just started reading this thread yesterday...

SWEET!!!

Have you read Tad Williams' The War of the Flowers yet?

There are some pretty sweet ideas you may be able to use in there for your Faerie court, including some other house names, possible characters to use for future figures, etc. That version of Faerie is pretty twisted at times too.

Wow. I thank everyone for their inputs and comments. I truly appreciate it, and I'm sure Oberfroschmeister does, too. Without his help, none of this likely would've gotten off the ground.

Say, anyone mind participating in a quick poll? How many of you would like to see an Unseelie Fae army for a fantasy war game, like Warlord? Let's see a show of hands! :bday:
