Wreckmaster
I have finaly started to get into Warlord, and I want to know if there are any stats for the big gun?
Spike
I keep hoping there will sooner or later be rules for "artillery" for all factions added on. Trebuchets and catapults would be cool... or goblins-with-petard.
Wreckmaster
I think the Dragon Bone catapult I bought had the warlord rules in it. But there was not any in the War cannon.
Saint of Sinners
I think (don't quote me though) that the cannon was suppose to be discontinued
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted January 4, 2005 Moderator Share Posted January 4, 2005 Take the catapault and crew, remove all the archery special abilities, and then add in a 24" Blowthrough with RAV 10 for the same points cost, and you might only be 30% inaccurate with the cost. Unglef
Not a bad idea, Lanse. Also, I say it should only be able to fire every other round.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted January 4, 2005 Moderator Share Posted January 4, 2005 Say rather that it needs to conduct a "reload" action to fire again perhaps. That way it can fire every round (so can the catapult, which is the precedent I'm using here), but it cannot both move and fire in a turn. Moderator Froggy the Great Posted January 4, 2005 Moderator Share Posted January 4, 2005 The Dragon Bone Catapult has its Dark Heaven Apocalypse stats. There is a generic "Catapult and Crew" card in the Warlord book.

Ranzadule
I am hoping not to see dwarves with firearms and big guns. There are too many fantasy settings with that sort of thing. Ranz Never brigns a knife to a gunfight.
Warwick
For pitys sake! No guns! No cannons! No steam mechs! This is fantasy, people. Let's leave it like that. Warwick
Rythian
Gotta agree with the Brother here, Every time I picture Dwarves from a fantasy setting, I see a bunch of tough little bastich's wielding axes like mad men and getting into the thick of things. I picture Battle Axes, Crossbows, Mauls, Mattock's, and Big Ol' Hammers. I don't picture lines of guys cowering behind shields until their big guns soften the enemy up. I don't picture lines of gunmen blasting away at the opponents advance. Maybe that's me
Ranzadule
And why would we dwarves need a cannon anyway? We should research MIRV tech for our King's Scry Shot. THAT'S where the future can be found! Ranz Founder of D.R.U.N.K. (Dwarven Ragers Using No Kannons!)

Those were Apocalypse stats? Dooh! But any way. I will play fantasy my way, you play it yours. I may figure up a way to work CAVs into the game. HA.
