Darkfather
Well, it has taken me a while, to get 'brave' enough to tackle my first 'real' miniature (instead of Heroquest Furniture). Well here it is, Reaper - Pillar of Evil. All comments/critiques welcome. Thanks
Ardice
Very nice. It's completely different from the approach I'm taking to the pillar (I've been "working" on it for about two months. I keep getting distracted with other projects...) and it's nice to see a different take. I especially like the fire, very nicely done. kellinator
Very, very nice. I love the fire! I do think you might want to bring up the contrast on the purple robe a little. Love that fire! How did you do it?
Darkfather
Wow! Thanks. The fire was done in reverse to the usual way I do it. This time (I was hoping for the glowing effect as on the 'lava base' thread), I painted... Yellow first, dry brushed Orange, then a light drybrush of red. Washed the flames in Yellow ink, then another drybrush of Red.
Mourningcloud
Well, it has taken me a while, to get 'brave' enough to tackle my first 'real' miniature (instead of Heroquest Furniture). nice pillar, but i hate to be the bearer of bad tidings: it still counts as furniture. in a dungeon, things such as pillars, altars to dark gods, fountains of blood/magic draughts, mirror portals into other dimensions, and racks of weapons all count as furniture. even that torture rack you were thinking about getting. hey, dont shoot the messenger

No shooting will be happening don't worry. I guess what I should have posted was.. "My first Metal furniture/mini instead of Heroquest Furniture." Would that have been better? I hope you will be posting pics of yours when it is completed?! Also, if you have it painted post some pics of your take on the Pillar of Good. (If you even have that one, that is). Thanks for the comments from everyone so far.

Also, if you do post pics, and if you have the Pillar of Good painted, post pics of it as well, as I would love to see someone elses take on that mini. I haven't painted mine yet, but I do know what 'scheme' I want to use. Thanks to everyone for the comments so far.
