Buggeye
I don't know why, but I just had to do her with a Coral Snake body. Black - Yellow - Red. Could i pick 3 worse colors to highlight? Linked for nudity Vandorendra
eastman
good job with the skintones maybe it's my monitor, but the snake parts look more green than yellow. overall, very good
Niloc
Wow ... real clean paint job Buggeye, love the snake skin and the flesh tone and high lights are fantastic. Well done :-)
mateybob
really nice... my only criticism would be that the base doesnt really do justice to the paint job
vejlin
Very good paint job. My only critisism is that I would have kept the snake part to black and 1 other color. That's just personal preference though.
TheFallen
Nice piece Bug... I am impressed. I have this fig, but I am nowhere near ready to tackle it. Its the snake body that I feel I can not do justice to. I like the colors you chose, kind of adds something to the piece be as vibrant as the yellows and reds are. **Side note** So, I was wondering, how much deoderant do think someone with six arms goes through in a month? :D Fallen
HaleBop
Saucy little minx! Nice paint job too!
prophet118
theres a bit you guys arent picking up here.... the markings appear to be intentionall...the difference between a king snake and a coral snake is the pattern king snake = "red to black, venom lack" coral snake "red to yellow, kill a fellow"
Stern Kestrelmann
Very nice BE. Skin tones look superb! Very complex model, I can see why she took you a while. I like the snake skin pattern, king or coral it's all good. SK
ecs05norway
The skin tones are awesome, I envy you. The scales... something about that yellow. Is it supposed to be that neon-bright?
Jester
Ok, you just better bring her tonight so I can check her out in person one last time! Otherwise... BOOT TO DA HEAD!
Buggeye
The Base - I hemmed and hawed about what to do with it - those extra skulls are ones i ripped off some old plastic skelly's i had laying around. They are not attached particularily well - i'll probably just flick em off and go for a more minimalist look to the base. The Scales - (yellow in particular) Well I pulled out my handy dandy color wheel and spun it around to yellow - it showed me that the shade color for yellow was more or less an Olive color. So thats what i used. And thats why they kinda have a green tint to them. Now, it wasn't until i was almost done with her that I found a really good closeup photo of a live Coral snake. And when I saw the color around the yellow scales (brownish/orange) I almost stripped her for the second time. But she had been stripped once and I guess my patience was running thin and just felt it was time to move on. If I ever do another one with the a coral snake pattern I'll change that bit for sure. amypaintsminis
She looks great- and yes, I really like the skin tones just like everyone else I do have a couple comments: the bottom of the mini is full of bright color, then it goes up to natural skin tones and white hair. I think if she had either black hair, or was a read-head, it would tie in better with her lower parts. Also, the metal blades could be shaded a bit more with black washes, so they have more definition. But these are minor tweeks on an already really spiffy mini. Jhulae
She looks really nice. I think the coral snake colors are quite good with the mini. I'd also agree that I think if she had red or black hair, it'd fit a bit more with her snakey part. (Of course, red hair and black hair are my two favorite hair colors, so I might just be partial that way.. ;) )
