Erion
Is there a plan to include a painting guide in the final rulebook for CAV 2.0? If so, will you be including a tutorial on the proper procedures for handling Decals? How about Methods for quickly painting large units of infantry? (right now, a full rifle platoon can have upwards of 40 individual n-scale soldiers). Will the book have "official" color schemes for the major factions and well-known merc units? With the comparatively large amount (vs. Warlord) of background material that exists for CAV, are we looking at a similar-sized book or something more expanded to accomodate the four years of development the game universe has already seen? These are just a few things that have come up around the gaming table in the last couple of weeks that don't have anything to do with the playtest. With both AICOM and Imperator already in pre-development (at least according to this post) the look and feel that CAV 2.0 gives to Reaper's burgeoning sci-fi background will have a very important effect on future releases. Mad Pat
Is there a plan to include a painting guide in the final rulebook for CAV 2.0? Last time it was discussed ya, there should be a painting guide in it, what all that entails I'm not sure. If so, will you be including a tutorial on the proper procedures for handling Decals? I would probably say no, as Reaper does not produce decals for any of its games right now. I personally would recommend contacting the manufacturer for tips and tricks. I know the great guys at Fighting Pirannha Graphics are great about helping folks out with their decals.
Erion
Oh, I'm not worried about the decals for me (as hopefully pictures of my Templars will soon show). However, since Reaper does license the line of decals to FPG it might be worth their while to give them a shout out in the rulebook, as was done with the Miniature building authority in the Warlord book. Erion
Will the book be full-color, as Warlord is? I would say yes, but it never hurts to have official confirmation of these things.
Spartan6
Will it be hardback like the Warlord book? Will the JOR's be reprinted with the new data cards in the back?
Stubbdog
Here's a question for the peeps (not really for Reaper cause we already had this discussion). What are your thoughts on official color schemes? Want them/ don't want them? If you want them, do you prefer the Nascar billboards, or military camo? Do you prefer to have "parade" schemes highlighted? Would you prefer the schemes to be at the UCOR, Faction, or alliance level? Obviously this question is not pertaining to merc units as each will have their own flavor. Just curious to see what the people's wants are in this regard. Erion
I honestly want to see official liveries and official camo schemes. It will add to the flavor of all of the factions to see this stuff codified. It doesn't matter in terms of gameplay. because all models have the ability to use active camo. The systems could likely be defaulted to show the livery when in a non-combat environment.
