My older kids are a little old to be rocked, but I still find myself swaying gently back and forth while trying to stand still -- especially if I'm watching someone else holding their baby.  You dads all know what I'm talkin' about.

I do.

I caught myself doing this with roll of paper towels the other day while talking to my wife.

My daughter is 15 and I STILL do it!

EHheheheheh Jup My son is 3 1/12 and weighes 40 pounds I can no longer hold and rock him for very long it is the sitting up at night when he cant sleep because of his Autism that my shoulder feels like its going to dislodge permenatly from my arm. Wheres that bottle of Ibuprofen and coffe,

In my situation I am now a night dweller I sleep at day time and wake up when it gets dark. Hopefully in a few years my sons sleep cycle will settle in and be better but until then I got the night shift.

First I thought with alarm that Dm was really of to boot camp but now I realize he is becoming a daddy congrats man it is the biggest thing in life for sure wouldnt trade it for the world.

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes. IMO, the class was a bust. There was no hands on activities, just round table discussion and some videos. We did see an infant get a bath and that was the best part of the class. Since, my wife and I share so much, I guess I have learned more than I had thought. April 22 can't get here soon enough.

heh heh! It's a fun time, the birth of your first child. Just remember that your comfort, needs, and wants are now of tertiary importance! ::):

My wife is scheduled to be induced on March 9th, however, she is already dilated to 3cm. We may be having a baby, our third, earlier than we had planned.
