tatsu
I wasn't sure where to put this. OT is always a safe bet. After putting a mini into the dip for the fourth time, I started wondering what's the highest number of times you've dipped a single mini? What mini was giving you so much trouble? For me, it's Lindir Lightarrow done to a friend's color scheme. It's hurting me . . .
:0)
My dryads have gone in for about the sixth time.
FuzzyIzmit
I have never dipped a mini yet. I try not to, but learn from my mistakes.
Qwyksilver
About 12, then I quit. Piers Young Mage. Mostly had difficulty doing the eyes. Part of why I usually do it first.
Death Angel
I try not to dip minis. The only time I have was because they had an old paint job on them that I wanted to entirely redo. I don't dip because I don't like the way something came out, I prefer to leave it so i can learn from it.

ladystorm
when painters neglect to take their minis at Paint and Take events they are very often stripped and reprimed. I believe I have two such pieces that have been through this cycle more than a dozen times. Of my personal stock, I have one that is back to bare metal for the third time and one for the fifth time. In general, I don't restrip my minis any more. It is just too easy to buy more and I like to keep my mistakes and early efforts there to learn from. cher
Kheprera
I lost count. I've assembled one dragon, partially painted it, and stripped and disassembled it about six times. Some minis have been dipped and stripped about as many.
mgmaranda
After 2 tries if a mini isn't working out right, I tend to buy a new one. I finish the current mini and then work on why it isn't happy and try not to do it again.

Morgan Devalis
Yeesh, a dip or two is almost a hazing event in teh case of my minis. Usually the first time I correct what went wrong, but in one case a twice dipped mini (Freya Fangbreaker) came out amazingly well the third time after metallic paint was spilled all over her, then the second time her skin turned ORANGE after a fleshwash. Third time though, that was the charm.
Dragon Snack
I dipped my mini exchange for Orchid_Noir 4 times. Man, that mini hated me... I have only dipped one personal mini that I can remember (due to a backflip onto the pallet). My personal minis are for gaming, so I can be somewhat forgiving of my talent (Heh). I have a commission waiting for the dunk right now, but most of my dunking is reserved for old minis painted by others that I want to repaint. eastman
I had a few minis from the early 80's that I stripped to repaint in the last year or so. other than that, the rest of the stripping has been minis I bought primed or painted (partially or poorly) from auctions. I've bought a number of minis at less than $1 each at the Games Plus auction, which have been restored to their bare pewter glory.
