Well, the names have been posted for Chick Challenge V, so I can post this now:

Faerie Princess Roseblade Moonscar

The fair and lovely Princess Roseblade Moonscar is the daughter of the Good King Hairytop Silvertwig, king of the Sunblush Fairy Court. She lived a sheltered, lavish life, receiving any gift she wanted and wore only the finest of clothes. She was never allowed outside into the "real world". One night during a party hosted by her father, Roseblade came upon Prince Needle Moonscar who came disguised as a servant of one of the visiting guests. The Prince seduced the princess, and had her carried off to the Moonscar Court. There the prince laid a geas that would forever bind the Princess to the lands that are controlled by the Moonscar Court. She is unable to leave except on the three nights of a full moon. The Princess went mad and killed the Prince and most of his family. The effectiveness with which she did so surprised everyone in the Moonscar Court, and they proclaimed her their new leader just to stay alive. The survivors of the Moonscar Clan now view her as something with great potential, so all the Moonscar men compete for Roseblade's attentions. As she now has no way to break the geas, she now fights an expansionist war every month during the three nights of the full moon, and the other Barons of the Moonscar fight for her, trying to claim the most land in hopes of gaining her hand in marriage. All the Moonscar Fae are now determined to bring the lands under the Moonscar Court's control so the Princess has more places to visit. After all, a petty little fief gets boring after a while. Taltos is pretty, and it's along the way back home.

I dunno whether I like the story or the mini better.. both are great!

It was very clever of her to choose a dress that matches her wings.. but I might have preferred a little more contrast there. However, I do like the variety of blues on the piece.

thanks for sharing.

Okay, I jumped the gun and posted my Chick Challenge entry before the winners were announced. Now that they have been (I didn't win anything), here she is again.

I like the idea of the fairy princess with a great big Duke Gerrard axe. Good work on the conversion and painting.

I didn't win anything either, but there is still the random prize giveaway. Jason says the odds are somewhere around 1 in 10 per entry. That gives me 8 (or 9 if display base counts as a separate entry) 1 in 10 chances to still be a winner.
