Program Recommendation

I was looking for a program to quickly edit and fix photos from my recent vacation. I found Picasa. It's a free download, which would normally flag it as bad. However, it has the best auto correction I've seen (not that I've seen alot.) With one click of the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button the picture requires little more correction then that, save for brightness. For those of us that aren't photo editing geniouses, this does a better job correcting them then we can tinkering with settings ourselves. It does have some settings you can tinker with, but not as extensive as real photo editors. And the major drawback is that some things are counter intuitive, such as there are no menu bar options for zooming, and opening and saving files to hard drive is odd. Overall though it's a great program to quickly fix pictures, and fix them well.

It's worth a download and try in my books.

I recomend Photoshop Elements.....3 is the current version. It may cost in the $60 range US but it's worth it for good editing. And for those who don't know how to do color corrections it has auto buttons that work pretty good.

I'll check it out, but, I prefer free!

Anyone use Picasa as well as others for comparasion? I've used Paint Shop, but since my version (at least) doesn't have auto fixes, I'm limited by knowledge and time to tinker.
