ejacobs
Hey All, Don't know how many picked up on this or have mentioned it before, but here it is. Under the Swiftaxes description, it mentions that they are not as unstable as berserkers... which leads me to hope that we (Dwarves) can expect to have Dwarven Berserkers join our forces in the future (Dwarven Faction Book). Is this true? Can the Brothers and Sisters of Aizen Krahl expect our forces to be strengthened by the Berserker? E
kialindo
AYE ... I would hope that my berserker brothers would be coming to the front lines ....
TankerJak
Well sheildmaidens are a troop type in the book. we will see them sooner or later. The beserkers are just mentioned, but here's to hoping we can have some raving psychos for our runts.
Heisler
Shieldmaidens are easy their stats are already in the rulebook we just need the models. I noticed the Berserker remark some time ago and figured that they would be showing up in the dwarf faction book. What's rather interesting though is that the straight warriors are the troops with bloodlust/2, swiftaxes have runner/2 and not bloodlust. Perhaps the Berserkers will have both. Qwyksilver
I'd also imagine maybe Fearless would be a SA, maybe Shock as well. Perhaps a higher Toughness roll. Drop deflect, even if they have a shield because they don't care. Breaker. Maybe a 2nd damage track <shrug> could be interesting. My bet would be that they would definitely be Adept. Probably even in an all Dwarf army.
Brushmaster
Maybe they could be posed with 2 axes or 2 swords with beards trailing behind . I 'd assume they'd have a lower DV but high Toughness . Yeh , a female beserker - screaming in with 2 swords whirling , a sight to see

Morgan Devalis
For the Hearth Guard minis,I hope that they are like the trenchers in that there are 3 bodies, 3 hand weapons, and 3 shields so that there can be 27 possibilties. As for Berserkers, bodies like the swift axes, but dual wielding axes and hammers would just ROCK!
ladystorm
For the Hearth Guard minis where do you see hearth guard? I have seen a few posts about it now and have not found it in teh book, I can be obtuse at times, can you give a page reference? c
VelveteenRabbit
Heisler, Runner is an Upgrade of Bloodlust. I know Bloodlust sounds cooler, but Runner is really the better option...

TankerJak
i think they are just refering to the SHeild Maidens. They kinda fill the same niche. Just different name.
Brushmaster
Durak Posted on Mar 24 2005, 05:11 PM Obvioulsy you haven't seen my wife . I was just describing her except she usually has some other heavy object in her hands !
efkelley
What dwarven force would be complete without berserkers? Very dangerous over short distances...
Morgan Devalis
Yeo, used to be in an all dwarf D&D campaign once, and for some reason I super impose 'Hearth Guard' over 'Shield Maidens'. Still,a hearth guard would be rather nifty. Perhaps somethign along the lines of Freya Fangbreaker's mother. Hmmmmm armed in dwarven plate, axe, shield, perhaps a cross bow,a dna long braid going down her back.
