Erion
If non-beta test folks are interested in CAV2, are we allowed to show them how the current incarnation of the system works? I ask, because I'm running an all-day all-reaper event at the FLGS is about two weeks and a few of the guys asked If the CAV demo events would be using the old rules or allow them to get a taste of the new. I told them I'd try to get an answer.
Mad Pat
Sounds good go ahead, just make sure they know that these are beta rules and are subject to change before publication. Have fun and let us know how it goes Mad Pat
Erion
Thanks, Pat. This is going to make a couple of guys pretty happy.
Reaperbryan
I should point out that the BL admin team will not approve LSR's for Beta activities. This has been our policy for all beta, including Warlord and Cav 2. While we do not object to you having demos, events, or tournaments to test the new rules, it would not be fair to deny those BL's who are not in the beta despite their eligibility because the slots filled up to fast. Erion
Ok By me. Lately I've been earning more BL points than I know what to do with anyway Should I still file an "Altruist" LSR, just for tracking purposes?
Mad Pat
Ya if you would post a Aultrust LSR and put in any and all feedback on the game and the demo, i'll have Bryan or LadyStorm get me that info once its been submitted. Mad Pat

Castlebuilder
Sheesh, I've tried to run CAV II demos at two different hobby shops. The guys at both politely told me that they like good ol' CAV I and weren't intersted. I've talked it up, but they have yet to decide to give CAV II a try. Hope your luck runs better than mine! Erion
I don't think it's going to be a problem. I had a guy who I've never even seen play CAV ask me when he'd be able to get a demo on Tuesday Night. Things for RAGE look very good at my FLGS right now. Erion
All I have to say is that I've got my work cut out for me once the CAV2 rules start hitting the shelves. I walked into my FLGS for an events team meeting last night to find four or five guys talking about CAV when I wasn't even there. It was very gratifying. One of the guys is yet another person who never played CAV before, even in one of my recent demos. I've got the store owner asking me to schedule CAV2 kick-off events, and I laughed out loud when ForceCommander responded to his query of "when's the rulebook coming" with "Soon" . Is it a good thing when you're basically told that you need to be running Reaper Games as part of the store's big annual showcase event? ForceCommander
I am doing my best as "apprentice Reaper pimp" at Erion and I's FLGS. I've noticed that leaving out my WarHawk and Falcon while I am working on other things nearly always prompts some sort of CAV discussion. At rough count we have 2 Ritterlich, 1 Rach, 1 Malvernis and 1 Adonese in some stage of progress/planning, plus my Terrans and Erions Adonese/Templars. And that's all before the box set hits. SuMicus
Me too, am an "Erion Cronie", but I was on board with the old CAV system. I loved the old system, and I was very leary of the CAV2/ R.A.G.E., but it is making the game sail with Grace. Putting 10+ CAVs on the Battlefield meant over 2 hours of game play. With CAV2, what I seen here seems 2x as Fast... Impressive!! BattleTech (Bad Word, I know...), I didn't pursue that game too hard, but 10 Mechs would have been a good 4-5 Block of gaming. I'm patiencely waiting for CAV2...
Erion
Don't lie, Sum. You're not being patient at all.
