I like the Favorite lists :) Gives a little insight into a person. So name your top 5 favorite flicks (or more if you want, I'm going for 10)

In not much order:

1) Bladerunner

2) Metropolis

3) City of Lost Children

4) Road Warrior

5) Metropolis

6) Titus (Titus Andronicus - Shakespeare's hard-boiled play)

7) Hard Boiled :)

8) Buckaroo Banzai

9) Star Wars (The original theatrical release)

10) Six-String Samurai

Thats the one I couldn't remember and didn't add to my list!

I *LOVE* Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. It's finally out on DVD, I want to get a copy to replace my VHS tape. I was lucky enough to find it on VHS during the 7.5 hours is was available before becomming out of print.

"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see."

Now if only the DVD stays available for longer. Although I break out my copy of the play when I need a fix. ::D:

I'm keeping this to a quick five off of the top of my head. I think that will possibly give me a more honest answer instead of trying to think of what 5 of my favorite movies are more deserving of being in this list.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Pulp Fiction

Fight Club

Ladyhawke

Godfather

Whew, I almost caught myself putting up one or two different ones by taking some time to think about it.

Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with those as my choices.

I don't really have favorites, 'cause my movies are like my kids ::D: , but here's the ones that I probably watch the most (I can't limit it to just five):

Cool Hand Luke

Boondock Saints

Touch (thanks again, Lady Tam!)

Six-String Samurai

Pi

Dogma

Reservoir Dogs

The Big Sleep

Key Largo

Hudson Hawk

Stir of Echoes

Life of Bryan

The Caine Mutiny

The Empire Strikes Back

Snatch

The Frighteners

The Great Escape

Spaceballs (every year on my birthday)

2 Days in the Valley

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

For a Few Dollars More

Run Silent, Run Deep

I'll stop there. Pretty good list.

Oh, and Sin City. I've seen it twice already, and plan to see it a lot more. Best comic book movie ever.

If we're listing the "watch it over and over" movies...

Lord of the Rings .. all three movies. Seems like every time I watch there's something new I missed last time. (I hope that counts as one of my five, not three)

Suicide Kings - contains one heck of alot of the lines I like to quote most often

Monty Python's Holy Grail - It's required-watching for geeks.

Enemy At The Gates - or [email protected] if you speak leet. -- based loosely on true stories, and Rachel Weise is awesome in it.

Adventures of the Brave Little Toaster - I laughed... I cried, ... and now everybody knows why all my household appliances have names.
