Reaper Ogre

Here's an Ogre I've been working on for the longest of times now. I'd get an hour or two here and there and would do a bit on him. I tried to make him kind of dirty looking but not sure how well I succeeded. I was also tempted to try NMM, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm going to look for some fighter in plate mail or something maybe later for that attempt.

I think the metallics are minimal and it would have been a great candidate to try NMM on.

Fantastic work, I really like the color scheme that you put together on this one, the skin tones are fantastic and that bit of red you added really give it a bit of 'life'.

I like the skin tone and the blending but the club with lipstick scares me. :)

What did you use for the flesh tones? Very realistic, but not standard human looking. Lighter, but off color.

 

And I love the face on the club! Some great stuff there.

Wow, the skin tones and the fur/hair are my favorite parts. Also the colors on the shield he is wearing is nice and crisp, so very good work!

Thanks for all the very nice comments! The skin color is a Dreamcoat brand color called Mudstone. I actually wanted it to be a bit browner, but I'm okay with how it turned out.

Picked him up yesterday. Minimal flash but a bit of a mould line on 'em that I have to file away.

 

Primed and waiting to paint.

 

Came back here to take another look at this one. Any more details on the skin tone? How many layers is that?

Great job! The way you painted the club gave me a conversion idea. Maybe give the club legs and arms (kind of like the Ogre could be using a wood-golem as his club)
