Sculpting Flame/Fire

Recommended Posts

I've been having an acceptable level of success in the sculpting area, with the exception of being able to sculpt a decent flame/fire.

I'm trying to create a "snake" of flame----and I've attempted a couple of different texturing attempts with limited success.

Do any of you have any ideas for a rookie sculptor?

Should I lay down a snake of gs first, then come back with another layer and texture it?

or should I just do it all at once?

And what is the best approach to pulling the texture?

Any and all help will be appreciated.
