Spartan6
Just remember Dodge City and Abilene were in Kansas. Looks great though. I'm looking forward to getting it. Debby? I heard that the RCON Sophie that sold got sent back to the seller; or was there another one that went out of the "family" ?

I heard that the RCON Sophie that sold got sent back to the seller; or was there another one that went out of the "family" ? There is an Abilene, Texas. And the Texas cattle drives would drive the cattle from Texas to Dodge City, so Dodge City plays a big part in Texas history. Just as there is a Dallas, Georgia. Or Las Vegas, New Mexico. Portland, Oregon and Portland, Maine. And I'd go on, but that would require research I don't feel like doing.
Spike
Wow...the new Sophie design... I LOVE it! But I'm sure what everybody wants to see are preview pics of the Sophie-Trophy. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease?
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted April 14, 2005 Reaper User Share Posted April 14, 2005 I have been empowered by the Great and Powerful Ed to say that there *may* be an opportunity for folks who can't make it to the Con to order the Con mini online. *If* this happens, the opportunity would only be open for a limited window of time--say, the length of the Con or so. If you miss the window, you miss the mini! Deal. This isn't for sure yet, though, so... Otherwise, of course, c'mon guys, we sell the darn things for six bucks (or around there) at the Con, just grab one of your handy friends who's lucky enough to be going and get 'em to buy you an extra. It's not like we're GW and wanting to charge you an entire *entry ticket price* to get extras. --Anne

I wouldn't want to go and show you guys an awesome piece of trophy art from Tim and then have the trophy not turn out nearly that cool, so the answer to this one is: Not Yet. Sorry guys. --Anne
wtwest
I'd be great if we could order the Sophie mini for those unable to attend. I'd like to go to the Con, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it. If it's not available, any chance someone could pick some up for those who can not attend? I'd be more than willing to pay postage and a little extra someone taking the time to pick one up for me. WTWest
eastman
Debby? I heard that the RCON Sophie that sold got sent back to the seller; or was there another one that went out of the "family" ? I know of at least 2 ReaperCon Sophies that sold on ebay, and think there might have been 1 more. First one, I got outbid by someone (don't know if he is on this board). The second one, I own, and it's guarded by a force of highly skilled ninjas

I am asking this because I have heard from a few of the Chicago-area members of this forum that they would like me to try and bring them back a Sophie. I would prefer to not commit to bring back any for the non-attendees if I won't be able to get one for each of them (I don't want it to look like I'm playing favorites and I can't remember who brought it up first). Almathea Toes
please please please make it available on-line for the three days. I live approx 1813.1 miles away. Ordering on-line is probably the only way I can hold of one. (I just have to say that mapquest gives really nice directions.)
Lord Baasen
So if people *might* be able to purchase the miniature online during the Con, then people at the Con should be able to purchase multiple copies right?
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted April 15, 2005 Reaper User Share Posted April 15, 2005 So if people *might* be able to purchase the miniature online during the Con, then people at the Con should be able to purchase multiple copies right? People at the Con have always been able to purchase multiples (i.e. they were available last year, and will be again this year). I'm not sure if they will be limited run, but imagine that if Ed makes them available for online order over the three days that Reaper will cast as many as we sell, and have a sizable backstock on sale at the Con. Anything that doesn't sell gets melted afterwards, I would imagine...and you wouldn't want to see that happen to a nice lil' Sophie mini, would you? None of the above is at all for sure, so I will check and make sure that I have my facts straight, and update you on any changes, as soon as Reaper finishes deciding on what it would like to do. In other words, "Soon!" --Evil Anne
Hexxenhammer
I won't be coming to the con, but I would buy a cowgirl Sophie in an instant. Isn't wanting to go to the con enough to merit PAYING for one? Please?
