I agree, the metals look great. Nice job. What color did you use on the armor? Is it just reaper bronze? I've actually heard of people using future floor finish on thier minis. Do you apply it full strength? How do you apply it? Is it just brushed on? Again great work and thanks for the tips.

Accually I had to go with some other manufactures for the metallic paints. well as for appling ful strength it just depends Yes I use straight floor finish and the color but the ratio of paint and finish is always different. well I just paint it on with a brush because the finish is acrylic base the wash falls into the cracks and leaves an even wash.

Sorry, but I am a newbie. So are you saying that you do your wash with future? For example, you do a wash of future mixed with black paint over the armor? I just wasn't sure if you were putting on the future straight just for the gloss. Thanks.

the answer is yes future with black paint. After I finish and matte spray the miniature the gloss from the Future goes away. Thanks!

I'm kind of having a hard time following you Tickles too. Can you rephrase your explanaition? Also, what manufacturer's metalics do you use?

Ok I take a mini I paint the metallic areas. With metallic paint. I then wash the armour the same way you wash skin clothes so on. I use 3 part future floor finish to 1 part black paint (reaper) I then go back and touch up the highlighted areas with the metallic paint. I had top get used to it for a while. For example I use 2 part finish and 2 part black paint for armour of bad guys. The metallic paints are liquitex and ral partha metallics. What I use the most is GW metallics here GW Metallics If this still doesnt help or is not clear tell me what part your having trouble understanding and I'll be more than happy to explain further. But I hope this all helped!

heya tickles i gotta concur with the others-i just looove that gold metallics. im an old skewl matellic painter myself (though ive had some decent success with nmm) -there isnt much you cant do with well shaded matallics -you can tint em any color, to any effect.

I too would like to know what colors you used for the gold -was it ral partha bronze, gold, copper, or some combination thereof?

I never use water to wash down the future. I find personally that water is a ring creator and I hate rings. Also Future is perfect the way it is in my 2 cents. you guessed it right one Morning cloud. I have combined many of mettallics. Most of them are Reaper,GW, Ralpatha, and a new kind used with model cars and planes.
