Jubilee
Wow, she's cool! Can people buy multiples of her at the con? Will someone out there buy one for me? I'll pay you back, and for shipping, and even something extra if I'm desperate. ;) /ali
Cade
Wow, both greens are great. I can't wait to get my hands on that Sophie. @Jubilee, Last I heard, there was talk that they 'may' put the Sophie up for sale to Reaper Board people for a limited amount of time. I haven't heard a definite yet. If they do, I believe it was to be only during the Reapercon weekend. If they don't, PM me closer to Reapercon and we can work something out. Digital [email protected]
Does Sophie forshadow Reaper manufacturing western style miniatures?
Cade
As a side note, what are the chances of getting just the wings of Sophie added to the boneyard? I've been waiting forever for a 25mm Sophie so I could get cool Succubus wings for conversions, because her's are great. Others I find are all the wrong size or shape. Chairman Aeon
Does Sophie forshadow Reaper manufacturing western style miniatures? We can only hope! It aint easy finding a mini for my elven Spellslinger character. (First one to suggest an Eldar Ranger gets gets a knuckle sandwich with brass condiment. and it wouldn't help the drow gunslingeress or the elven gambler or the dwarven gunsmith ...) I'd like a box set like the pirates one or a three pack in the DHA range. Deja-voodoo. Iain. PS: What size is the Cowgirl Sophie? (I assumed 28mm.) Next, why are the pistol and rifle in metal as if precast for standardized weapons? Cade, talk to me if Cowgirl Sophie is available on the e-store ... I want one without wings so if it's doable then the wings are yours.
Morgan Devalis
OKay, I have th bathtub filloed with ice, plenty of ziplock bags, I just need to know when Reaper is going to put these up for sale so I have enough time to sell my organs on E-bay. C'mon, I can't let Qwyksilver buy alot of these, have them smelted, and used to make more reven!
Reaperbryan
(And yes, I too have been wondering about these metal firearms. Where did they come from? ). About 10 Years Ago, Bob Ridolfi did some work for a Chess set with a western theme that needed multiple firearms. Rather than sculpt the weapons again every time, he sculpted them once and pressed them. Reaper does not possess the rights to the weapons, except for in the form of the ReaperCon 2005 Sophie, as Mr. Ridolfi owns them in their entirety. This does not presage a specifically western-themed development for Reaper, although whether there will be western minis eventually in Warlord or a Future RAGE Game, Dark Heaven, or the Master Series Minis is yet to be seen. Hope this helps.
Chairman Aeon
Hope this helps. No, a "Yes we intend to do some more fantasy western figures" would have been much more helpful. Iain.
Warlocke
I'd definitely grab a ReaperCon 2005 Sophie if they offered it for sale online. My chances of getting to Texas for the Con, or during my lifetime for that matter, are pretty slim. She looks great!
ixminis
Bryan & Pat showed me the figgie yesterday - it's a must-have - good stuff maynard.
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted May 16, 2005 Reaper User Share Posted May 16, 2005 News! The ReaperCon Sophie will indeed be for sale online for those of you who can't make the trip to Texas. She will be on sale for the duration of the Con--i.e. Friday the 20th through Sunday the 22nd--on the front page of the Reaper Store under featured items. Not sure at this time of the price, that's still being figured. Last year's sold for around seven dollars per; I would expect this one to be more, as it is quite a bit taller than last year's and has more pieces. That's your breaking news; you have three days to save yer pennies, pardners. --Anne
