zaphod
Okay, I know I am against posting other companies stuff, but since I have just got back into the flow here, I thought I woul dshare my latest... She is the Colonial Marine Veteran Sargeant from Urban Mammoth's (I-Kore) new Urban War game. The figure itself was very nice, and cleanup was a breeze. They are cast beautifully and I do recommend them for quality, especially if you are lazy with trimming and cleaning like me! There are another half dozen pics on my site as well :D Oh... Happy Birthday Gus! Sorry it's late
SaintRigger
I really like the emphasized highlights... it gives a great fantasy-art look to the model. Stunning, as usual ;) (Like I expect anything less from you)
Niloc
Great work zaphod, cool base. Good to see your work again and you getting back into the swing of things man :-) Thanks for sharing.
Rodnik
Lovin' it dude. The greens are beautiful, as is your usual gem-mojo on the eyepiece. The muted greens go well with the red hair-----great color selections. Bravo. Kev
zaphod
Thanks guys! Kev I like combinations like that. Vallejo Reflective Green highlighted up with a bone white turns out very vibrant yet earthy for a green.
Elouchard
Hey Glyn, She turned out really nice. I like the color saturation and the nice clean blending. The new Urban war figures are pretty cool aren't they. So how much time do you get to paint now with the blog thing going? Eric
zaphod
Thanks Eric. They are really nice figures actually... I have a cyborg guy too to do sometime soon I think. On an average day I only spend about 15 or so minutes on the Blog. If I write somethign original though, then it can take an hour or more even! Of course, ball season just started too, so that leaves me about an hour a night and a few extra on the weekend (unless other things come up like yardwork...) Vikinglodge
Hey Glyn what a cool mini, drawing its pistol, very nicely shaded and highlighted a great green on the uniform. super
jjpens77
Very nice use of green and highlighting...what colors did you use to acheive this look?
prophet118
where do you get those rounded edge bases?
ecs05norway
Those bases are standard now for several games -- Urban War, WarMachine, etc. WarMachine sells packs of the bases -- they're used to mark wrecks and such, among other things. It's by Privateer Press. And the fig looks darn good.
zaphod
Thanks again. Yes, those bases are likely the most common now, except for GW products :) As for the green.... Thanks guys! Kev I like combinations like that. Vallejo Reflective Green highlighted up with a bone white turns out very vibrant yet earthy for a green. Cade
Dark Age Miniatures also use those bases. The CMON shop sells the 30mm ones in packs of 10 for $2.99. That's probably the best price I've found.
