Enchantra
Alright, so I got my computer back after being repaired on Monday night. Since then I have had something happen twice on shutdown that makes me go "Errr?" I shut down my computer as normal, but the computer pauses and says it needs to shut down a program titled "MCI Command Handling Window." It does this then the computer shuts down fine. What the heck is that program as I have never heard of it before and it was not there till after my friend had fun repairing my computer. twjolson
Cutting through the technobabble; It's a subprogram used in playing music and video. I wouldn't worry about it, no matter the program. What you are describing is common, mine does it all the time so have my previous computers, and seeing a foriegn name isn't a concern either. Programers come up with all kinds of wierd names. Enchantra
Alright, thanks. So long as it's not a thing to worry about I'll ignore it.
Errex
As a side note, to help avoid multimedia issues like the one you mention, make sure to install the latest version of directX from the WindowsUpdate site. Current version is DirexctX9.0c.
