Demon
Trying to find a good web server to post pictures for what I am hoping to be my upcoming career as a photographer on. Anyone got any suggestions for a reliable one?
Niloc
A good one to begin with is Photo Bucket [www.photobucket.com].
Hendercrazy
Here's a couple that have been pretty good for me... http://www.imagemagician.com http://www.walagata.com Depending on their different packages (non free versions)... you can upload up to ten pics at once with Image Magician and up to a possible ninety-nine pics at once with Walagata. Both are good with bandwidth too. Hope that helps give you more options.
twjolson
The one I like best is Image Shack. My biggest pet peeve is when photo services limit your photo size, and shrink your pics down. This one has a 1mb upper limit, so photo size is never a problem. Plus there is no limit to the number of photos. All for free! The only downside I to it is that you can't set differant pics in differant folders. All your pics are all lumped together.
All-Terrain Monkey
Keep in mind that many ISPs include free web space; depending on the size of the files you want to utilize that may tide you over for a while. Also, paid hosting is extremely cheap these days. My current one is 1.6GB storage/40GB transfer per month for under $10, and even that's not all that uncommon. If you're looking for reliability, and trying to make a professional living from it, paid is the way to go. Most hosting services boast 99.9% uptime. Kheprera
I'm with GE. Try getting yourself your own little space, and not from GeoCities or Tripod or Yahoo since they will block any linkage. There are many places, inexpensive, who will allow you the freedom to upload to your heart's content and link as freely as you wish. And you can pick the name yourself. mrbuddylee
If your pictures are miniature related, I have to recommend http://www.displacedminiatures.com Of course, I'm biased.
