prophet118
It's GW. Would you expect any less? i would expect better of them, will i be disappointed?... yes... but i tend to expect more out of a company..lol
prophet118
as for alternative jungle planets... try some of the floral arrangements at walmart or hobby lobby... they arent plastic like you'd get from a pet store also, try for something different from jungle all together, id love to see like CAV attacking savannah... all spanish mossy and all..lol
T'Sarith DeGaalth
The only thing terrain wise that is worth buying from GW is their "How to make Terrain" Book. There are a lot of sites on the web with info on making your own terrain, which is a lot cheaper anyways. ANd Fun. And, it makes us poor painters feel better - I may not have the best looking figs, but my tables always look cool. ANyway, just google "wargames terrain" or miniatures terrain, and you should find lots of sites and ideas. ALso, the Necropolis book for warlord has details on making sandtables. prophet118
personally... once you get the techniques down (basics you can learn on GW"s site) theres no point for a book... just google for pictures of landscape features
SaintRigger
I have to second the GW terrain book is really good.
Spike
Is there anybody out there who has ever actually tried bonsai trees for terrain? Sure it'd take a while, but think of the coolness factor! Steve's jungles are made from plastic fern and alot of sand-and-glue fu.
SaintRigger
Yeah, but ninjas kept dropping out of them and slaughtering my orcs.... stupid bonsai trees.
Spartan6
I found out later it wasn't until several days/weeks later (and after the poor little guy was buried) they realized that hamsters hibernate. That's the saddest thing I've heard in weeks.
