LordColdsteal
Here is a figure I did a few months ago. I took some new pics of it, and think it came out alright. Suggestions?
Humansquish
I really like that ice sheet base. A different take on the Ice Queen, and you pulled it off really well. The fur around the cloak thingy looks great. Care to share how you did it? I don't do very well on fur currently.
fieldarchy
This is a really nice paint job for this figure. I currently have this figure on my painting table and have painters block with what to do with it. This gives some great ideas. I can't wait to see more of your work. TKD
I'm not a big fan of drow, but I really like the paintjob on this mini. It's pretty outstanding. Love the lips, and the icy blue.
primeval
Very nice - I love the contrast between the skin and the rest of the colors. The base is awesome too!
Jhulae
That's such an interesting take on the mini. The skin does really contrast against the clothing. I love the sculpt as it is, but that paint job really makes it even more interesting.
Mourningcloud
okay man, give over. what colors did you use for her skin (and dont tell me you dont remember...) im dying to know. Overall the best drow skin i have ever seen anywhere!!
LordColdsteal
wow... I'm feeling really good right now.. y'all are too nice. The skin... I based it in black, and then just started glazing in a dark gray (before I even knew what a glaze was). I focused on highlighting raised areas, getting a little lighter every time. I've seen a lot of drow down with dark to medium brown skin... and always felt that this wasn't staying true to the drow... from back when they were first introduced in the Giant/Drow seires way back when (I feel so old.. I bought those DnD modulas way back when). The first time I saw this figure, it just screamed drow to me... don't know why... but I guess it worked... Please feel free to offer more comments, both good and bad... Thank's y'all.
Jhulae
I've seen a lot of drow down with dark to medium brown skin... and always felt that this wasn't staying true to the drow... I agree. I think the main reason was that some artists found drow hard to illustrate with black skin. ::coughparkinsoncough:: I think they do look much better with ebon skin, not shades of brown.
