mooseyjoe
today i was told that any model whitch survives an area effect spell (firestorm and the like) is automatically shaken. Then i was told that If it is shaken again (by using scare or a similar type situation) the model will automatically retreat. Problem is I couldn't find the part about firestorm/ball leaving you shaken in the "wonderfully organized" rulebook. If you know where it is please point me to a page number. If you know that this is incorrect then please try and exlain what may have caused this confusion. If you think I am detriment to the Human gene-pool please be nice when you say so. And finally if you are happy and you know it clap your hands
All-Terrain Monkey
You can't find it in the rulebook because it's not there . If you're the victim of the AoE spell Scare then yes, you get Shaken, but not for surviving AoE damage spells. *claps his hands*
VelveteenRabbit
You do have to make a check on your discipline if you survive an AoE attack from your own side however... That might be what was being referred to.
abngi
Yep - surviving friendly fire is what shakes you. Note: it was also later clarified that an AoE that cannot effect you (Holy Light vs a non-Undead, for example) would not shake you.
