First 750pt Necropolis List

Hopefully my math is correct, here is one of my variant 750 lists. I really like my Harvesters and the havoc they can reap. I went with Railor as my sergeants as they are cheaper, but more fragile. Also, I would like to have been able to fit a standard into the troops with the breakers.

So,

 

Arz with a better weapon and armor in a unit with breakers and harvesters. The harvesters work great behind the breakers with deflect. :poke:

 

Railor with some archers. Give him fear and ice. ^_^

 

Then watch them squirm with the burrowing terror that is the Grave Horror! The model looks great, and they just don't seem to know what to do with him :blink: . He's a lot of points, but sooo worth it.

 

This got me three out of three against 2 different Reptus armies and some elves to win a tourney at the Toy Soldier in MA. Nothing better than some good 'ol undeath and destruction. :grr:

Hey EW have you been looking over my shoulder because I come up the same list ::D: Except I have 4 Breakers & 4 Warriors in one and five warriors in the other troop . Scary !!! :ph34r:

That Scry ability is finally starting to pay off.

 

The reason I filled the 1 unit are for tactical reasons. If you have a hard hitting unit and lots of tactical cards then This unit can be used when needed to act as a hammer. You could go first with it or bring it up as your last activation. Then you will probably go 1st and this unit with Melek and grunts will leave a hurting.

I assume that Malek is there to assist in making the grunts cause the hurting instead of causing it himself :rock: . Ahh the sweet joys of ruthlessness :devil:

That's the plan but I guess it depends what Meleks final goal is, who is helping him the most and if Judas has enough 'sway :devil: ' with him.

What I would say also to do, suck up the extra 28 points (find something to take out) and replace Azarphan with Lord Kentaur. For his point cost he is amazing, and he gets tactician, which can make all the difference in a 750 point game.

 

Also magic items do have their time and place. In a game against the reven I managed to take down an entire troop of Bull Orc Archers and Goblin Skeeters with one bloodseeker. Of course he was packing the Improved Protection upgrade so his DV was sitting at a nice 13 against those archers and neek. Magic Items are very good when used effectively, but should be used sparingly.

 

Also, magic is an indispensible part of any necropolis army. With the low DV of your standard grunts (not counting in the new grunts that have been released as I only have The Called at the moment ) you need to make very effective use of range and magic. The archers can save your but especially since you can fire into combat with your cheap little skeletons out there.
