LordColdsteal
Howdy all, Well, I went with the suggestions given on this young ladies WIP and am very happy with the result. What do you think?
mooseyjoe
is she based on a pebble? whatever it is is awesome. That base really adds to the flavor and over all cool tone of the piece. I like that hair too.
Spartan6
She's purty!
Darkstar
Great way to show off a lovely rock. The mini's not bad either. Definately a great sculpt to paint, you've done her justice here. I remember not liking the head of the staff much on my version, but I like what you've done with the skull, good to be able to see the difference between the bone of the skull and the enamel of the teeth. Kheprera
Beautiful. I her. I like that you kept the platnium blonde hair. It just really adds to her ethereal, non-human look.
Orsino
Gorgeous!
ugluk69
LordCold.... You've created another masterpiece......she is soooo fine. The hair really looks awesome and goes so well with the purple. I wonder if you could add a familair to the base that might be cool....but which one hmmmm
Kheprera
The elven hound or maybe the dragon? Or the ragdoll.
GeekGirl
I love the paint job on the bodice!
bleujenna
So glad you went with the white hair and strappings on her bodice! Her staff looks great too. Are you using the RMS purples? ~Jenna
LordColdsteal
All of the colors on her were done with RMS or RPS. I really like using the master series... that make the mixing easier IMO.
Jhulae
Yum! I love the color choices. The corset looks great. The platinum blonde hair looks great as well. The base is great, too (but sadly would make it hard to use in a game). ;)
Kheprera
Okay. now share your purple use on her, please? I may end up stealing this color scheme, I love it so.
LordColdsteal
OK... here is my guide to purple (used both on my elf sorceress and purple knight). I first put down a full base coat of Nightshade purple (MS 9022), and then started glazing up layers (mix Nightshade with Imperial [MS9023]... paint around 85% of hightlights... move to Imperial.. next 85%... mix Imperial with Amethyst.. next 85%). When I got to what I thought was the last highlight, I used straight Amethyst (MS 9024) and the highlights. At this point I took a picture to see ho the hightlights looked. I found that I needed to go more, so I added just a hint of white to the amethyst and kept working it up. I did go back and did a little shadowing with the Nightside around the belt and such. Also in areas where i thought the hightlights were a bit to much, I put a thin glaze of Iperial on it and found that toned it down very well. The Chevron was the MS bone triad. The bone, IMO, is a great replacement for trying to do a white hightlighting. The cross on the shield and on the gloves were doen the same way. I did use white to touch up the brightest areas. I'm still trying to get the NMM down. I worked for a long time on the chainmail, and feel good about it. I learned more about how to do NMM doing the helmet then on any other piece of this figure. The shoulder pads.... not even going to talk about those... . I'm done with this piece... even though there is more I could do to it... but I've got some many figures...and so little time... Hope this helps with the purple...
Kheprera
Thank you very much. Now I need more paint since I don't have all those colors (although I swear by the Nightshade these days).
