spiritual_exorcist
I currently have the following list of people who have no recieved a mini yet: prclimber wolfers vil-hatarn Anyone else still missing theirs and have not heard from their partner? I'm going to try sending out another round of messages to see if I can get a response, and then after a couple days I'll see if I can get new partners for those people. I know I have a couple of people standing by with extra minis for me so it shouldn't be a big deal, it is just disappointing to see people fail to fulfill their obligation after recieving a mini of their own. Just to let you know, I will be sending the names of the people who failed to paint their partner a mini on to the next organiser, whether they choose to allow these people to participate again will be up to them (I know I wouldn't, as I don't believe it is fair to have recieved a miniature, and not sent one in return). Those people who dropped out with plenty of advance warning will not be on this list so don't worry; nor will I publically post the names of painters who failed to fulfill their end of the bargain, as much as I might want to, I'm not out to black list anyone or alienate them from this forum, my intention is simply to provide a list of people to the next organiser who were unable to fulfill their end of the bargain with the hopes of removing unreliable people from the next exchange and ensuring everyone recieves a mini from their painter. Cyano
Well, I' also (finally) pretty much done (except for the base). The last few weeks have been quite...eventful. I'll ship it off beginning of the next week. I'll keep my eyes open for it.
T'Sarith DeGaalth
Well, after many trials and Tribulation, mine got their clear coat on this afternoon and go out in the mail tomorrow. Only a month late, which is pretty fast for my painting.
Faraday77
I'll keep my eyes open for it. Well, It's away. Don't know how long it will take to be delivered, though. Again, I apologize for the delay and thanks for your patience, Cyano.
spiritual_exorcist
Ok, I'll sit down tomorrow and sort out a list of painters to fill in any holes I have, it's been over a month and I still haven't heard from several painters (despite multiple messages). If you are still painting for your partner, please PM both me and them to let us know.
Jubilee
I need to make a trip to the post office today anyway, so I hope you give me an assignment today - I really don't want to brave it more than once this week.. :) /ali
spiritual_exorcist
Sorry, didn't get your message unti just now. I'm still conflicted over what I should do, and still reciving messages from people who havn't heard from their partners, so I feel obligated to give peoples painters at least a couple days to respond. What do people think, should I start assigning other painters now? How long do you think I should wait before I assume someone isn't going to fulfill their commitment. I'm particularly conflicted as I know RL gets in the way, I myself only got my mini out a week ago (if that). I do have about 3 people who I have tried to contact several times and have heard no word from, I think I'll go ahead and reassign these people very shortly (in the next day or so). Dragon Snack
I would go ahead and reassign, unless the origional painter has said they are still working on it. Someone might get more than one mini, but hey - they had to wait longer for them (speaking from personal experience). I can help out as well if you need me to. prclimber
Well, as I'm one of the folk who still haven't gotten a miniature I'll chime in. I'm not sure if my partner is working on it or not, AFAIK he(she)'s not since I haven't been told that they are. Anyroad, I'd say those who don't have a miniature and have no partner contact give the partner maybe a week or so more to respond before re-assigning. Me personally, it doesn't matter much to me either way, honestly I don't care too much if I don't get one at all, just being part of the exchange was fun enough for me that I'm not getting my undies in a bunch over it, if I get a mini I get one if not oh well, I painted a miniature for a nice gal, hopefully she's getting good use out of it, and I had fun doing it and being part of the exchange. So yeah, there's my 2 cents Canadian even though I'm in the US but I had 2 Canadian pennies on my desk so you can get them. Actually, I withold my 2 cents, since, after all, if we all throw in 2 cents somebody would get rich and I don't even know were my pennies are going so until someone claims my two pennies they're sitting here on the desk. Ahem, now that my little random bout of random-ness (*cough* insanity *cough*) is over, hope that helped a little bit. ~Paul
cutebutpsycho
Well, I'll second Dragon Snack's comment. If you haven't heard from the folk who haven't finished, they've had a month and a half to email you. It's not like there wasn't a date set that was three months from the date assignments were given. There's been plenty of time to at least be in touch. So, the Dragon Snack part, go ahead and reassign them, you have willing painters out there (myself included) and if the recipient gets two minis in the long run, isn't that better than getting none? Also, they've had to wait long enough....... Of course, it's your decision and I'm sure you'll make a good one.

Jubilee
I would definately reassign people whose partners never responded. I also think the rest of those who STILL not finish should just keep working and send a model off in the next exchange instead :P I think it's very unfair to have kept people waiting so long! OTOH, even though I finished mine early this time, last time I was a week or three late, so I shouldn't probably be so hard on people. /ali ps. I had to go to the post office this morning and it was totally empty! Guess it gets easier as it gets closer to Christmas and once you're too late you may as well send it afterwards.... :) So it probably won't kill me if I have to go again before Christmas. =)
