Sergeant_Crunch
So I call the LGS to find out what the heck happened to my order. Turns out he misplaced the order and ripped the top off it which identified the stock numbers as belonging to Reaper products. So now it's going to be at least another week. I knew I should've ordered online.
Anastrianna
Ah, that stinks. Hang in there!
Humansquish
Got my mini in yesterday. I'll get started on it next Monday. Hopefully I will be able to get mine done on time.
Jubilee
Okay, so once you're done with the mini I seem to remember that we were supposed to confirm address. What exactly is the procedure post-painting, pre-sending? Do I PM the recipient to let them know to expect a package? Do I confirm address with recipient or s_e? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! Missed this one the first time 'round. What I did this time and last was send a PM to my receipient as soon as I had shipped the mini with the tracking number. Part of the fun, imo, is knowing to watch the mailbox for something. I don't know, I suppose some people just like having it turn up on their doorstep. I didn't confirm the address with S_E or beowulfthehunter (my receipient), but the post office says it was delivered last friday and I still haven't heard any complaints, so I'm assuming it got to the right person. :) /ali
tzor
I have my mini almost finished, (I'm going to look at it one more time to see if I can't tweak it here or there) and will have it ready for shipping sometime soon. I'll follow the procedure and PM the lucky (or unlucky considering that they got stuck with me) person when it's in the delivery system. ChickinChainmail
I've already stripped the paint off mine once......
Jubilee
don't worry too much, Chickin.. In the last exchange, I stripped mine twice and eventually switched to a different model and was a week late.. :) The world didn't end, and my partner doesn't, so far as I know, hold a grudge. :) /ali
spiritual_exorcist
Just checking back in quickly, I'll be home from my trip on October 8th, although I'm moving right away afterwards. I should be far more active here after that. I've closed entry into the fall exchange, there should be a winter or spring one after this one if you missed out, so just be patient. Thanks Aaron
Heisler
You guys all had me worried for a moment. I had to go back and check the dates on when I needed to finish this mini. I should have no problems finishing something in 2 months. Whewwwwwww
lionmane
Wow, I'm kinda sorry I missed out on this one...I only recently started hangin' out here again, and I just noticed this exchange. The two I did were fun, even though I got stiffed the first time around...but the mini I recieved from Jubilee the second time made up for it! Maybe next time! Humansquish
I tried a new technique that I thought would look really cool, but it just looks like I randomly threw thick paint at it. I think I'm gong to have to strip it.
Sergeant_Crunch
Sheesh, finally got the fig and basing material for this one today. Now just gotta do the hard part and prep, paint, and base the little feller.
Wulfgarn
Hello all I have not heard from my partner in painting and was wondering what I should do-- I have just a few finishing touches to go on the mini and it will be ready to ship
Ardice
Hey wulfgarn, I wouldn't wory about not having heard anything yet. The person painting for you is not the same as the person you are painting for and you will likely not hear from them until (possibly) they send your mini. Since the Exchange isn't "due" until November, I wouldn't start worrying yet at all. Heather
