trp81
Hello my name is Troy Paton, this is my first post though I've been lurking for a very long time. Any way I picked up the component parts at reapercon and recently accuired a digital camera, so I thought I'd show everyone what I did. The body is 2408 Lizardman tyrant leader and the wings are from Nachtlufte 2069, I then added the horns, ears and chin horns with greenstuff. CuCulain42
Welcom to the boards. Cool conversion. While I'm no expert myself my one critique would be that you could use a bit more depth in your shadowing.
Niloc
Welcome to the boards trp81. Neat conversion. My only comment would be add a base, and maybe give Cornugon a black/brown wash to pic out all the details Thanks for sharing, keep painting post often. LordColdsteal
Looks good. I like the critter... nice conversion. I have to agree, add a few more highlights. It looks like you're doing some drybrushing... you might want to add some glazing to your sytle to bring out a bit more detail. Also, for your photographic work, you might think about building a photobox. Here is a link to how to make one if you are interested. ColdstealPainting PhotoFu Great job, and welcome. trp81
Well I do agree that I could use deeper shading (particularly I missed the underside of his shoulder guard) should be noted that the picture is a bit washed out from the flash . I'm going to make a new picture and see if I can improve my photographic technique.
trp81
Here we go the wonders of proper lighting. I probably shouldn't be getting all excited and taking pictures at 1 in the morning.
Humansquish
Much better picture. The wings, eyes, and mouth look great. Awesome conversion. Look forward to seeing more stuff from you.
Jabberwocky
The second picture is much better! I think you have done a very good job with the conversion. Additional shading would benefit this guy as would a few highlights on the wingtips. Doing some darklining I think would help this guy out too to define the bracelets, belt, and chainmail. Welcome to the forums!
LordColdsteal
I think the second photo really brought out how good you did here. The lighter purple highlighting looks great. This guy is a real beast! Nice job. Did anyone else have problems with my link? It worked right away for me... please let me know. Excellent job trp81. CuCulain42
LordColdsteel, it may have been sit difficulties. Yesterday I got an error message, but it worked today.
