LordColdsteal
howdy all, I haven't painted in a while, but plan on hitting the brushes in the next day or two. Wanted to get some opinons on my latest WIP. Suggests and directions welcome. The NMM isn't done yet... but please comment on how it is proceeding. dargrin
I by no means can judge you on the NMM but I like the fig. Very smooth.
Rastl
The NMM is looking good if a little flat. I'm not the most knowledgable person to chime in but it looks to me like you need to take it both up and down. A few more shadows and the high highlights. But very very smooth work! I like the white teeth too. I did that on my WIP skellies myself.
Whizard Hlavaz
Your layers look nice and smooth, but you could work a little more contrast into your NMM. Brighter bright whites and deeper darker shadows. NMM "pops" with contrast. Be sure, too, to pay attention to your light source and orient your highlights in relation to it. Nice work so far, though. Niloc
Nice solid start on this one. Like it :-) Can't wait to see it completed. Thanks for sharing.
Jabberwocky
The others covered my critiques well; more highlighting and more shading. Excellent start though. My only other comment would be the hair--i think it needs to be tidied up a bit more. I look forward to more!
LordColdsteal
I haven't done anything with the hair yet... any suggestion? Last night I got to work for about 1/2 an hour on the cloth... I hightlighted it with red to near orange. It might be a bit right and not dirty... but I think it will look good.
Mourningcloud
actually i liked the steel better at this stage than your new updated post; what colors did you use?
LordColdsteal
I've used just black, start mixing white... and build up to a grey... that's it.
