mooseyjoe
i got proxy long spears. Using DH lizardmen with spears. I find it is a better idea to just use more breakers. Whenever i get in the thick of it It usually makes more sense taking an extra attack versus giving a small bonus to someone else.
smokingwreckage
What about giving a small bonus to one of "as many guys as can fit in base-to-base contact anyway"?
shakhak
No Uru. Wanna hear how many surplus heroes i had? Nai-khanon with greater armour and mod wep, grunge beast, 2 captains with armour and weapons, and that cleric with lesser magic and greater armour. No need of Uru, need of about 20 more grunts. Never go to battle without the Chief. Never. His presence will win you games, I call it the Uru Aura. Yeah, all of those magic enhancments need to go, but you already know that. Looks like you sunk at least 165 points into them. Drop NaiKahn, Another T-Kay with 4 bandages would have been a better investment or the Cheaper hearo(Ra'am I think). So that would leave about 200-250 points left. Uru(70) + Archer troop(130-180). This gives you two cards in place of one hero and a bit more of a stragetic advantage. Ranzadule
I've yet to play Reptus but I've thought about it a bit and I think they are the faction that says "Play with our big guy and whoop butt" or something like that. Khong To shouod be in your force and should have improved protection, divine favor and the greater magical weapon. His support should be the cleric with LME and a couple bandages and a speed spell to help King Khong close the distance. Proxy the wizard and get Firestorm for when everyone piles in on Khong. Fill out the rest of the points with warriors. If oyu hit in the right place at the right time and you will cause a lot of trouble. 4 swings on a warlord with khong's first strike will make anyone very scared, especially since the GMW gives him +2 MAV as well as the extra strike. Ranzadule
Looking at the battle reports at Warlord HQ, one could reach the conclusion that it's not necessarily the Necropolis which is broken, but maybe it's "Lostpict" who seems to be at least partially responsible for Moosey's problems: The Genesis of the "Necros are teh borken"
mooseyjoe
Lostpict is definately fearsome i will give him that
Reaperbryan
On a similar note, there are 2 players down here that only lose to each other, and realrely to anyone else. If we think maybe the army they are using is broken, we switch forces and then I get my butt kicked by my own army that just got its butt kicked by the army . . I am confused. Anyway - Moosey, try asking Lostpict if the two of you can switch forces for one game - if nothing else it'll let you see what he can do to defeat his "unbeatable" army . . . Got to love all the alligator luggage I've been making You know somepeople don't like lizards, but I think they taste just like chicken. Seriously, I do admit that the CKs (that is "croc killers") seriously rock. This new ability to suck the life out of the victims has made them a tough nut to crack. Of course vampire knights should be a bit difficult to overcome. Now what hasn't been said is how well those lizards pick their teeth with my skellies bones. They also take the wraiths and death riders with ease. The Grungebeastie is also a toughie. If he gets the opportunity to charge it is all over but the crying. I think the Necros are a pretty good analog to the modern US Army. The CKs are the M1 Abrams, the death riders are the Bradleys, the Cyrpt Bats are the Air Cav, and Naomi is the 155mm artillery. In the open desert unstoppable; but in the cities more vulnerable. The Reptus just need to pick the right time and place. That is what I'll have to do when we switch sides. P.S. Mooseyjoe is a good sport about this - he even did the dishes tonight
Firebird
I don't have any probems with the Crimsion Knights. Of course it could be because I play Necropolis. I love the red guys I really do. Seriously Bryan brings up a good point about switiching armies, You probably find some new tactics by doing that.
wildger
By the time when other fraction books are out, Necropolis will possibly become one of the weakest.
Ranzadule
Care to give any reasons for this bold prediction or is it something Nostradamus foretold?
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted August 10, 2005 Moderator Share Posted August 10, 2005 By the time when other fraction books are out, Necropolis will possibly become one of the weakest. All the faction books are being developed and playtested concurrently.
