Melbourne Mew Mew
Amazons! All female mercs ! Halflings I have previously requested making an all-bladesister army as an option for the Mercenary faction book, and may as well repeat that suggestion here. I'd like to see Amazons as well... "jungle" type amazons would be okay, but it would be even better to have the Amazons as they were depicted in Greek Mythology, expert riders and archers. Back when I did historical wargaming (DBA/DBM), light cavalry armies were popular among the people who played, but I haven't seen them much in fantasy games. And a horse-archer army could be a lot of fun.
shakhak
for people with too much disposable cash to spend on lots of pewter...a pure dragon faction ....That would make the PERFECT Reptus sub faction
ixminis
a piglet playing a flute? getting too many primer fumes again? :) Not enough!!!
Hoarfrost
What I'd love to see would be an army of lightly-armoured human troops, fighting unarmed or with light hand weapons, augmented by and half-crazy with drugs, and following a strong ideology. Or fighting for the freedom of Taltos against the various "invaders" (Overlords, Crusaders, Reven, Nefsokar, etc...). Something along the lines of the Hashashin and the Dervishes, with generous helpings of the Thuggee and the Fists of Righteous Harmony. But without the (usual) arabic/oriental/asian subtexts that analogies to those usually get. Maybe putting them more into a berserker/barbarian context, but with e.g. a slavic/baltic cultural background instead of the tired old "scandinavian barbarian" fare - long, flowing robes, coats and dresses with bits and pieces of Byzantine-esque splendour instead of half-naked muscle men in furs, if you get my drift... Could be an evil or neutral faction. Possibly good as well.
Mythical Titan
I'm liking these ideas so far, but I'd like to see something that we could have serious control over. Something that we could do totally custom. Like, there'd be a special "Custom Players Rulebook". Say, it'd have all the stats for the calvary, grunts, different warlord stats , different mage stats, different calvary fighter stats, etc., and then, you could go and completely make your own custom army. If you wanted a barbarian army you could cut and past and match, then have yourself a perfectly unique army of yours, that were "stamped" with the stats you labeled them with from the custom army rulebook. That's just me thinkin, Im a lil new here, and maybe there's something like that already, but I'd like to do something like that. As for races, I think a race (one that I haven't seen represented a lot of games so far) would be something like the "African Tribal" style race! The types with the big colorful shields and headdresses and spears. The tall builds, and etc. Their type of calvary could be immensely destructive! War Elephants to ride! Maybe instead of riding horses there could be Lion Tamers that had lions on chains and controlled and commanded them. Something like that would be tons of fun to me. Whatta ya'll think? You can make any stats to go with any minis using this section. Problem is it is a bit easy to create unbalanced troops using this list. Another problem is that they are not tourney legal for all the people around here who play at cons and stuff. The final problem is it is impossible to create a standardized "this is always that" kind of look when people are making generics like this. All this aside these armies are awesome. You should find the "Unseelie Court" (hope I got the name right...) pdf file. this is a really interesting custom army. can somone give us a link to that? I want Celts, with blue tattoos and claymores. Conquering Conans. They would say GRRRRRRRRR too.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted August 27, 2005 Moderator Share Posted August 27, 2005 The Moonscar Court is here: http://incompetech.com/splorg/Moonscar/ As always, I welcome all feedback, especially in light of the new Archer-adept thing. mooseyjoe
for the "tribal faction" it would be cool to have a lot of nature based faction spells. Warlord doesn't seem to have any druid magic and this would be a neat way to add some.
twjolson
Yea, I'm really liking the idea of a more savage human army. They could be a long lost and hidden culture, who awoke to the war that raged across thier homelands. Savage as the jungle and twice as deadly. They could consist of barbarian and shamans, as well as feral and large animals.
Lawgiver
My suggestions (though I'm inexperienced): Celtic/Barbarian/druids Strengthen the Reptus with some more shamans and variety in general; salamander grunts similar to halflings; Raptor like dinos Jungle/amazon - warriors in Jaguar type skins Oriental Drow (Evil elves)/Drider/Spider type faction
Brushmaster
Drow (Evil elves)/Drider/Spider type faction I thought we already had them in the Darkspawn .
Lawgiver
Drow (Evil elves)/Drider/Spider type faction I thought we already had them in the Darkspawn . well sort of. It seemed to be more demons focused than elvish to me though. Though the new Isiri released are kind of moving the other direction. I was thinking something closer to the Dark Elf trilogy by R.A. Salvatore.

A dark elf type of race from Salvatore's imagination would purely rock!
Evilbob
I'd be happy with a Mage Nun for my nun force. I want to mod one out with a ruler, just for giggles. But a Mage or Cleric would mean all nuns, and that would make me happy. My buddy wants a lupine box set, or rat men If they did barbarians the O'Mannon clan form Dark Heaven are pretty nice basics. I like the Highlander thought. EvilBob
